I have a bearing screaming in mine. At some point next year I'm going to tear into it. It's ear shattering in the cab. I have a muffler which makes the bearing/gear noise all the more obvious/painful.
I have 2 m35a3 drivers seats and suspension bases in my truck. Looooove them. Actually the seats are hmmwv seats on A3 bases. Best I can tell a3 seats and hmmwv seats are identical. The hmmwv seats bolted right to the a3 bases.
1/4" should be fine. Though I wonder what benefit doing this mod would gain you. I don't remember top end lubrication being an issue with these engines.
I don't see how more lubrication would be a problem.
Your bead lock should be about 8" wide for a 10" wheel and 9" for an 11" wheel.
If your wheels and tires came mounted chances are you have run flats already in them.
Study the oil gallery diagram and make note of which rockers got fed less oil. It would be interesting if 2 engines had the same pattern of oil flow....or not.
There's a lot of guys who have deuces around you. Maybe one of them will offer assistance. I'd be more than happy to help if I wasn't at the furthest point in the state away from you.
How would that help? Engine oil will just wash it away. The side of the control rod that sticks is exposed to fuel. So again grease will just dissolve.
Mile marker selectro hubs used to be cheap. Now they are getting around 6 to 800 dollars for them. At that price I'd much rather have a set of ouverson hubs.
A friend of mine has the selectro hubs on his truck. He's not a fan. The turn dial to engage them can rotate if you get in a rut and...
Be aware all that kroil is mixing with the engine oil. I doubt it will hurt anything. Unless you emptied an entire can in there. Then I suggest changing the oil.
