    Brake issues....

Those are the exact symptoms my truck had when I got it. Most likely an air pack issue. Mine was rusted up solid. I know you just rebuilt yours.

    Brake issues....

So have you checked your wheel cylinders? Did you bleed in the correct order? Was your rebuild kit for a short style air pack? The short and long style rebuild kits are NOT interchangeable.

    Old style head gaskets

Most people are afraid to punish their truck like I do. The fire rings in these gaskets can burn through. Copper will not burn through. Then if you o ring the cylinders I doubt you would ever loose compression due to head gasket failure. You can also have a thicker gasket made to compensate...

    Old style head gaskets

I'll be in touch with a custom gasket maker next year. My head gasket is ok for now so it's not high on the list. But if it does go I only want to do it once. The gasket company I have been eyeballing says high compression diesels are an excellent candidate for copper gaskets. They also...

I forget the correct name for that clip but they sell similar type clips in the hardware section of home depot, tractor supply, lowes. Usually with the nuts and bolts.

    Old style head gaskets

It will be interesting to see if the stud fails or if the block fails. If either.

    Old style head gaskets

I wonder if you combined better studs with a copper head gasket and stainless fire rings if this would eliminate blown head gaskets?

Oil filter cans that retain oil?

Don't let him lie to you. She beats him. I saw it. Once she gets over the flu you only have 7 or 8 regulators to find and fiddle with. Chop chop.

    From the buffet or bathroom?

    Changing the thermostat questions

I said what? Lol. I don't remember that but maybe I said it. What I do normally tell people to never remove the thermostat and run the truck unless it's an emergency. Diesels need the thermostat to keep cylinder temperatures up. This ensures a more complete combustion and prevents wet...
