I think you can paint it okay as long as you dont coat it so think the gaps between the fins are filled and gunked up.

No it wont. Get your insurance through Haggarty and they include basic coverage for towing for like $24. They have several packages for towing and for like $89 a year you can have towing on all the cars and trucks you own for 100 miles. I insured my first deuce with them and the cost per year...

As to covers I would check with Jatonka. Go to his web site he has nice seat covers available. They are heavy, durable and American Made. I have a decent box seat set I may be willing to part with when I install my spring seat in my truck.

I really wonder if these scrap yards are not ripping guys off. I have seen weights go all the way from 1000-2000 pounds. There cannot be that much difference.
