I just keep my Prius loaded in my truck bed...plus I run a Solargizer. I feel like I am doing my part to reduce my carbon footprint to save the world! Go eco-nuts!!!:)
Solid job! Did you make any additional 3/8" steel plates? I would be interested in buying one. I'm looking to do the same upgrade to my daily driver. The more time I save on the fabrication process, the better. It drives my wife crazy if I spend more time with the truck then with her. I...
Contact the good old boys at Red Jacket. They play around with those types of toys. They may at least have contacts if they can't directlly help...
In any case, I'm sure it'll cost you a pretty penny to get the final rig together. Good luck! Can't wait to see your pics.
I used this same method after checking out CARNAC's post (2 piece build). It worked great--both are good ideas. I think next time around, I would add the collar you have on yours. The 3" pipe by itself was a smidge off, but still very workable.

Time is money and my other restoration project is sapping all my time. PM me with your quote if you can hook me up. I'll be able to cut the exhaust quickly and bolt in the muffler. I think these look sharp...
Congrats! Sorry I could not meet up with you for those tires. I hope all goes well with her. Let me know if you plan on coming by Tyndall in the future!
So here are some pics of my rebuild. I have been balancing this project between deuce work and the wife/kid--so of course it is taking forever... Any other Ural wrenchers out there? I sure would like to pick your brain.
So just about 4 months later....The hub was pulled to find the bearing greased washed out and the seals in good condition. I think the original problem must have been a pressure situation with the axle vent. I replaced the vent with some tubing and ran that up to the air filter (to be...
After viewing the pics, would you say I have a problem? I know the root problem is that I bought a deuce... Now with that said, any inputs on whether or not this is an indication of a serious problem-or just the fact of owning a FMV? The rig was refitted just a few hundred miles ago, so I am...
