I have used dipstick heaters in the past... never cooked up the oil ?? Problem with them is they can crack from bending though the dipstck tube... plus it is so cold were you are you need all the heat you can get...

If at all possible use gaskets & RTV together... Idon`t like using RTV alone but you can make agasket if you need to...you can buy rolls of gasket materal at any auto parts store

A few weeks ago they trashed a mint 1967 fury III.. :cry: Tried to make it flip by droping the drive shaft .. they fsiled 5or6 times but put the 3rd drive shaft though the trunk... :x

now that is clean below the belt time for a lube job.. :grd:
