How is it that skinny tires are better in mud and snow, wouldn't they slice thru like a pizza cutter and sink out of sight unlike a wide tire that would compress a larger surface area to distribute the load and float on top?
It seems that the mil. is converting to singled out trucks, is there any advantage to this? Bob H's deuce with the dual 11/20's looks REAL cool. My truck is singled with flipped hubs but that pic. of Bobs makes me wonder. What if you had the dual 11/20's in back with a fatty in front like a...
11echo, your tires on the front of both trucks don't look skinny like mine, I think its because you are using combat rims, the stock rims set inboard more bringing the foot print tighter. Nice look you have.
Isn't is wierd how typing makes everything seem,........... I don't even know how to describe it! Cold, I guess. Where as a spoken conversation is clearer because of tone or body language. Sorry WAY OFF TOPIC!
Well that makes me feel better. I think I'll take the top off mine (after reading how) to see how she looks and to chase down the leaks - top cover and rear output shaft seal. Is it that easy, remove shifter and unbolt the top, one of the diagrams I have shows shifter arms that may be attached...
That reminds me, on my first tranny oil change a piece of metal came out. I'll have to take a picture of it. I don't know what it came from but it was a stamped 3/32" thick 1/2" wide straight break along one end opposite a curled hook. If viewed from the side it is the shape of a J. I don't...
I keep all six at 55# and it seems good. Although there is a lengthly discussion on differing the front and back pressures in here some where. It talks about handling and wear.
Thanks for the explanation! I don't think I do that, is it a sign of problems to come if you have to do this, like things are starting to wear out or is it just a truck personality thing esp. when its cold?
Wholy cow, I just had a flash back of a head ache! My deuce is singled out with these and I love them except for a few things, they look skinny from the front and I have radial cracking on all of them about 2" out from the rim. I have heard that this is a common Michilin problem in this...
I use all the same oil in ALL the cases, they are all gears meshing together so I thought what would be the differance? In referance to double clutching, I don't exactly know what that means could someone describe it please? Whatever it is, I just shift (like normal) UP shift - press and hold...
