Im a long way from Green Bay, but it is nice to see a fellow cheese head!!!:D
I believe that the laws did recently change in WI regarding larger wheeled vehicles if im not mistaken. Im sure that someone on here that is from that state can point you in the right direction.
What are your plans...
I find this thread very intresting...no pun intended,
I am a degreed engineer and have had a couple of classes that relate to this very subject. What is intresting is that from an engineering stand point there is no difference in the corse vs. fine thread argument. The only reason that...
Mine was on the engine compartment side of the drivers side fender as well, I just figured since everyone i talk to told me it was on the firewall that mine was a fluke.
Hey there! I grew up in Lumberton and have been to Pope many times through the years. and Bragg alot, esp now that im in the Guard. :)
It just doesnt feel the same since its now Pope Army Airfield.
No plans to go, but that may change.
Thanks,
Corey
The turn signal issue is probably due to a bad signal control box. mounted on the firewall usually. Mine was bad and my lights wouldnt flash, $50 later, my lights flash :D
Hi,
I was looking into the possibility of getting a soft top kit and soft doors for a 4 man hmmwv. what would be the worth of such parts? 3 camo pattern.
Thanks,
Corey
Thats pretty cool! The reason I noticed it is because I just finished the resotration on a 1936 International C-1 motor that used that same block. So when I saw it I was like...wait a minute!
In your new pics of straightening out the bed in post 189 it looks like you used the block of a green diamond IHC motor to help. Is it one?
And by the way, the truck looks amazing! :grd:
Thanks,
Corey
Hi guys...and gals,
Ive got a vent pipe that comes off the top of the motor at the valve covers and has alot of smoky/oil stuff coming out of it. What could be wrong with the motor to cause this to happen? I spoke with a mechanic buddy of mine and drill this weekend and he said that the EGR...
Does anyone know the dimensions of the cans for these motors? thinking ahead to picking it up. And also the true weight of the motor in the can?
Thanks,
Corey
If its a rebuild, that is in like new condition and still in the can, then yes, id go 1500-2000 on it. plus my motor has a slight knock at high RPMs anyways, and thats after a valve adjustment.
Thanks,
Corey
It did orginally have a drop side body on it. the datat plate says M35A2C WO/W.
IN the the fire department (after military service) the truck had the bed removed and a rear crane added with a rear PTO.
Thanks,
Corey
Thanks guys, but Ive got the spring bolts now. I do however need a vertical bracket (the one with threaded ends) for my west coast style mirrors. Mine on the passenger side has broken threads.
Im also having issues with getting the pins out of the door hinges to mount the mirrors.
Does anyone...
I was wondering about that line. I had no idea what it was.
So just cap it?
and I have the pring bolts clinto, I picked up a set from dueceman surplus.
Thanks,
Corey
I have been to the guy in albermarle.
He has alot of stuff, including a half track, but based on his prices for parts for a M35A2, I would assume $1000, wont touch his trucks.
Hes a military surplus and parts guy, so its probably not gonna fly very high with him, though he will work with trades...
