When you are talking about sound, are you all referring to the knocking or just the loud engine? My M1008 sounds like a kindergarten percussion section, its ridiculous. Would rebuilding my pump help and how much would that run?

Just curious if you ever solved your problem. I have the same issue with my 85 M1008 but it comes and goes as it pleases. Some days it does it every 5-10 minutes, other times I can go weeks with out it happening. Also, anyone know why I keep blowing my number three glow plug...
