That looks like it was a blast. Its nice when others can enjoy our trucks like we do.

    Un-bob a deuce

I personally dont think bobbing a deuce is any different than modifying a 69 camaro. Its yours to do with as you please. I dont think vehicles should be art, they should be used. There are a ton of deuces out there. In the case of our latest restobob project we took a deuce that was sold by the...

    Finally!!!

That is a solargizer, solar battery charger. Congrats on the truck you will love it. From the pictures it looks like your legs may be too short to reach the pedals.

    Un-bob a deuce

Putting the frame back together wouldn't be hard. You could get another driveshaft to modify and keep the original one. If you found a spare rear axle you could keep the rear tandems and the entire suspension together and just roll it back under. Piece of cake. [thumbzup]

The singled 46" tires on a deuce would go farther than the NDTs. I think the extra ground clearance helped also. The ones with the NDTs still did well.

Will all diesel trucks run on Alt fuel and which alts

Multifuels can run on just about anything oil based. we run 100% waste motor oil. In the winter we thin it with about 5 gal of gas to 45 gal of oil for easier cold starts. The most important thing is filtering the old oil. Otherwise you will clog your fuel filters pretty fast. Trans fluid...

    2011 Haspin pic/video thread

We put the steering box in Littlefoots truck this afternoon. I came back to Cincy and pulled it out of the unit we are restobobbing. Then went back and installed it Also had to repair a broken injection pump line. We really want to thank Nick and his wife and Doug, you are the man. And a big...

    Springs vs. Blocks

Blocks are ok but I would take used springs over new blocks anyday. You may have axlewrap issues with the blocks if you offroad the truck.

    Does this sound normal?

    You are correct sir. [thumbzup]

    Junk yard deuces

1500 is going scrap value so you could at least get your money back. HOWEVER I would never get a loan on an old junkyard truck. I probably would not get a loan on a good truck. If you cant pay cash for it, pass on it. [thumbzup]

    Diesel or Multifuel

On our latest project we thought about an engine swap for more power. A 6bt cummins or even a detroit engine. But with fuel over $4.00 per gallon and the ability to run alternate fuels in the multifuel we couldn't justify the change over. I love the multifuel and am planning to swap one into a...

    welder purchase questions

The Millermatic 211 would be my bet. I repaired welders for years and have been to Miller school. I cant praise these welder enough. The autoset is well worth the price especially when welding all the different thickness metal on the deuces

    goldneagle's M52A2 restore thread

Just from what I see it doesnt look that bad. The paint stripping would be the nastiest part. How is the cab and interior. I wouldnt hesitate to restore it or it would make a great bob candidate You could leave the spare carrier and single it out with a M105 bed you might not even have to cut...

    Stupid Insurance Agent

I have insurance through progressive and have also used Hagerty insurance. Hagerty and Grundy are agreed value plans and sometimes have restrictions. Just shop around and find an agent that deals in classic and collector cars. They usually are the best at finding decent rates and plans.

    Front/Back wheel alignment

There are tons of late model trucks out there to get a donor axle from. It really isnt that hard of a swap. I think this is the best way to go.
