Hi there over the hill neighbor. Welcome to the madness. When you get back, we will find you a real fun toy, you are going to love it! Keep your head down for now. Thank you for your service. Gods speed.
Welcome my friend from the higher parts of the USA. You are now in the company of some really good guys from all over the place. Love you vehicles. You are going to fit right in just fine !
Ya did good! That is going to work out super for you. You just can't get a much better camper than an Alskan for that type of project. The two match up very well. I love to see these projects that marry two things together that most don't think off, and yet works so very well. Keep us posted...
Don't know if this would work for you, but I put a 50 gal step tank on the driver side. It worked good for me. Woofpack added a tank where his spare tire use to go. It worked good for him. Just some thoughts. Lots of fuel is always a good thing.

John, Your truck is looking sooooooo good. You have done such a good job in such a short time. Happy to hear the trip went well, sound like a lot of fun. The cooler sure works for me, I like it!
O.K. Guys, here we go again. A friend of mine ( wolfpack ) had the same problem for the same reason. He came up with a spare tire mount on the rear of his 109. The tire sits in a saddle and is secured to the rear of the vehicle and to the swing support. Under the vehicle you can pull a pin...
LowTech, sorry I missed your post. My house got hit by lighting and a few things I am just now getting to work again. In reguards to you question. I removed the tool storage box and extended the box support arms to mount the tank on. It sits just a little lower than the box had. I still...
