I think a roof rack would be great. I would like to have a large one with 8" high side rails.
Considering the fiberglass roof, support brackets would need to be fabricated to carry the weight down to the bed sides. If it was an internal support then there would need to be some sort of...
Well I went to exercise the MEP-002A on Sunday before the big storm and needless to stay it suddenly died.
It wants to start right up but as soon as I let go of the starter switch it dies. If I hold the starter switch in the start position it runs.
It had only been running 15 minutes or so...
In a stock system that top post should have 24V on it.
If you have converted to a 12V glow plug feed then that top post will have 12V.
Sounds like your relay is bad.
The coil is energized all the time the key is on. When you ground the small terminal with the blue wire current flows through...
Are the batteries in series or parallel?
Does the positive of the front battery connect to the negative of the rear battery?
Where does the heavy wire from the starter connect to in the engine compartment?
Depends on where your meter leads were when you measured your voltage.
Where were your meter leads placed when you read 20-30V?
What was the voltage 20V or 30V?
The diagram Warthog posted shows that the front battery negative is connected to the vehicle chassis and to the negative terminal board on the firewall.
On my M1009 the negative terminal board in the passenger compartment is connected to the negative terminal board on the firewall.
Using a...

It has been my observation that the glow plugs are not necessarily de-energized when the wait light goes out.
It could be something hooked up wrong or perhaps after priming with the starter and then the combined starter and GP load is too much for the batteries.
What are the battery voltages...
The negative terminal of the back battery is the same point electrically as the positive terminal of the front battery.
I set a third terminal board in back that is connected to the negative terminal of the back battery so that I have 1) a ground terminal board, 2) a 24V positive terminal board...
