I have looked through all the manuals and cannot find the gear ratios for the Spicer 6453. Does anyone have the ratios? There is also a 6453A listed on some truck parts sales websites. I wonder what that is?

While you fixed that, you may wish to remove the tape one at a time, properly solder the wires, and use a piece of heat-shrink tubing. I solder everything and instead of tape, I use heat shrink tubing. I have zero electrical problems, except occasional new ones.
