You may want to look into 80,000# with a five ton also. Sounds a bit high.
In Indiana I buy a farm plate and hauling my own stuff does not require a CDL.
Why not put a trap door in the bed and mount a fifth wheel ball down at the frame. Then make the hitch on the trailer adjustable down to it. I'm doing the hidden ball on my M35A3 4x4, putting it about 10" behind the axle. Ball is rated 17,000#.
I have 6 that have the wrong pistons but otherwise are new. One new kit included with new style spring. Two have the straight spring but have a centering cup both ends. These would work with your pistons crazy guy. PM if interested...I went to 1 1/2". The cups are USA.
They have went up so far in price because they are such nice trailers. Your's looks new.... it doesn't begin to show 20K. Nice work SB. It's nice to have a secure and water tight cover. Enjoy!
Taking 4" more from the height at the frame/axle may be in my future, I want it as low as...
We have some 5x5 x 1/2" that does seem closer to 7/16". The pockets are short so we take out the weld mostly with a grinder and sometimes open it up a little. Sure, a broach would be good too. edit...be careful of the corners. Some can have a long radius and that won't work on the outside...
We can work that out computer 54.
Buffalobwanna, My trailer tongue and the surge brake are 3 1/16". I almost used the 3" tube I had without a spacer and it would not have went over the steel tongue with the two side plates. If I had not noticed the space on the surge brake, I would have...
I just noticed your hitch tube telescopes out....nice feature and very adaptable to different heights. I'm thinking of a larger version on my M1061 with 5x5x 1/2 and 4x4x 3/8". We make stake pockets on logging trailers with that combination (usually 1/4 wall on the 4x4).
Did you have an...
Are you sure Wes that there is a neutral position? When I had my 809 sprag out, there seemed to be only 2 positions (reverse and forward). I was going to document the entire removal and assembly but there didn't seem to be an interest at the time, so I didn't.
I remember one air line which...
Like Sue said, get your hand on a line or the pan. You won't keep it there long at 190.
Smell your tranny fluid. Does it smell burned? Do you have a nice solid reverse?
My tranny ready to go in.
And the "Coastal Warfare Unit" mark on my truck...AjaxMD....I'm holding out to have one made...
Cost for materials on one (should be enough for two) of about $100, I thought I would try it. I've located some marine duck deep forest green 12 oz for about $3 a yard. I'll make an inner layer and then an outer with some closed cell foam in between. Most sewing will be done by hand using...
Cut off a bolt that is the size of the rivet head and clamp it in your vice for the anvil side. There are punches for the rounding of the rivet head but you can get it started with a center punch. Take your time and try to limit the side splitting, some can be expected.
I wouldn't try...
Has anyone made their soft top? I need one on the deuce and M929.
I'm looking at duck canvas in 12oz and thinking of using black inside and OD outside with closed cell foam to insulate and cut noise. Joints/seams will be glued and have large overlaps. I may have a center seam done by the...
With 14.00's and the additional weight + bobbed, I'd consider going to larger brake wheel cylinders....going from 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" WC piston at least on the front. They swap out with a small mod to the push rod. You may need a wheelie bar on the front.
Really....make sure you can get stopped.
Sorry, didn't mean to divert. I had a part about having a spare tire holder like Rusty's and took it out along with my description of a fold up spare tire holder for a 395. It would have been more on-topic if I had left it.
My M35A3 has a dual circuit 50/50 system. The 2 front WC are 1 1/2" piston and the (4) rears are 1 3/8". On a single circuit M35A2, all 6 are 1 3/8". I'm going 4x4 and all four to 1 1/2". The 1 1/2 and 1 3/8 piston wheel cylinders can be interchanged on M35's.
There are many threads on...
Only slightly over legal width Rusty? You didn't take the flange off on the hubs did you? Someone did...not sure I could locate it though. I will be doing that for A3 wheels with dish out on my 105.
