I had the same problem with my cheap HF magnetic lights. I tested before my first trailer pickup and found that little issues. I was able to change them in the workshop before heading out.
Oh ya, nice trailer.
The wiring diagrams are available, I believe they are included with the TMs that can be downloaded. Look at the link resources link at the top of the page.
Somewhat off topic, what size fuse did you use between the outlet and the battery?

Drive 55 - Arrive Alive .... or something like that (govt slogan from the 55 interstate era).
Fuel economy goes up significantly when the speedo stays at 55 to 60.
Thanks, but it is not my tip, just repeating what I learned on this site.
I use a plastic syringe from a farm supply store to withdraw the fluid for testing.
Drain a little of the brake fluid into a clean clear jar, add some water and shake thoroughly.
If the brake fluid and water separate into two distinct layers within an hour or so you have silicone brake fluid. If not you have Dot 3/4.
The black wire will go to the negative post that is bonded to the vehicle frame and the red wire will go to the positive post of the other battery (not the battery that has the negative post bonded to the frame).
Before connecting anything use a multimeter to verify that the posts you have...
