Thanks Rusty. One more clarification before my head explodes. So we are talking about using "50wt non detergent motor oil" in the trans and transfer case? Not 50wt gear oil? Thanks.
Welcome from md. Let it warm up to 120 but take it easy until fully warmed. I usually cheat a little. Download the electrical schematic tm's for your truck. They make life so much easier.
According to the tm, 50 psi all around is the correct pressure for on road driving. It seems like that would be correct if the truck was loaded to capacity but with an empty bed it seems too high for the rears. Does anyone air down the rears for normal driving? I was thinking about 50 in the...
Still sounds like a carb problem. Especially since you said there is pressure built up when you disconnect the line. Fuel is not getting into or past the carburetor. Could be a jet, passage, or fuel shutoff valve (if equipped) being blocked.
When I drive my M35A2 I let it run even if I have to go into a store for up to 10 minutes. I pull the throttle trim out in order to boost oil pressure and smooth engine vibration. Not sure if you have this ability in you vehicles.
