Did it today. It wasn't bad at all!

    803a vibration

Sensor shows a little wear on the end. It's been rubbing while running I'd say. Only 14 hours on this. Sensor did work because starter disengaged and it produced voltage. Condition matches hour meter. Pulls 11k load and all exhaust shows it was all firing

    803a vibration

Also, I have some corrosion in the exciter and stator. Minor, but should it be cleaned off? If so, how, without damaging either?

    803a vibration

Ok reading on how easy it was to open these gen head up I went ahead and did it this morning. It helped that way have a ton of snow so no work today. I took the stator off. I slid it on blocks then picked it up by hand and set it aside as my cherry picker was buried in another building with...

    MEP-803a Rotor Swap

I've got a rotor I need to change. This looks pretty easy actually.

    MEP-803A Spare Parts

I've checked prices on both. Rock Auto was cheaper on some and Fleet was cheaper on others. As a whole order Fleet was cheaper on my last big order.

    MEP report post Hurricane Michael

I use Gates lines on all mine as well. They hold up way better in the long run than the stock ones.

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

Ha! I'd have a hard time paying their price for anything! It would have to be a desperate situation. I can understand making a profit and staying in business as I run a business myself. Being 2 to 3 times higher than market price is completely different.

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

I will probably run out to grab one of those as a spare sometime. Helps that Summit Racing is only 20 minutes away!

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

They must make the pumps then.

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

I can assure you what I have on my bench is not a fuel filter! The mystery continues!

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

Ok here is some more info to muddy the waters. I'm working on an 802 with a dead fuel pump now. I figured I'd give this a shot since the 802 still had the old style faucet pump on it. I offered the seller $70 and they took it. I know, more than the Airtex pump, but I was curious about this pump...

MEP-803a : AirTex fuel pump substitution

Looking at the images in fleabay for this part number the lines do look like 1/4" for the 831 instead of the 3/8" for the 802 or 803. Looks could be deceiving though.

    MEP-803a auto frequency controller!

I have installed several of Peter's remote start boards for customers. Top notch products!

    MEP-831A Oil Pressure Sender Suggestions

Sorry about that. That is what happens when I run on not enough sleep! I was thinking you needed that part, not a sender

    Mep 802a vibration issue

802a does vibrate quite a bit. It isn't near as smooth as the 803a. Check your alternator. That is usually where the battery draw is. I've found other gauges that work for most of the stock ones, but not had any need to find oil pressure. Maybe someone that has can chime in. inovahightech.com...

    MEP-831A Oil Pressure Sender Suggestions

I had found a low cost alternative for the 831 sending unit. It was from the same company as the OEM. I don't remember the part number off hand. A search may show it as I listed it here as a couple other people needed them.

    MEP Emergency Jump Starting

I've done this. Real easy to do with a relay. You can even use an extra one from a MEP803 if you have them on hand. 24v DC coil and carries 120V AC through it

Question On Inova Remote Start vs Inova ATS Controller

I have talked to Peter about this same thing. If you are wanting to use his product you need both boards to use an ATS.
