Myself I just use some of the tire soap on the O ring and make sure the sealing edges of the outer ring is not damaged. I make sure nothing is in the O ring groove and looks good. Here I use compressed air to clean it out and inspect. Then I use the two nuts that came with the wheel that are not...
Click on the yellow on post #5 to open the thread then open / download the troubleshooting manual. So much easer than typing a page of info. Also there is a sticky in the Deuce forum to make things easer.https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?172002-Injection-Pump-Timing
Yea Trans/Syd is a great. With Trans/Syd you only save money because it will go higher miles before a change. If you had to change out regular trans fluid every time Allison model called for a change and have to have a shop do it it is cheaper to run the Trans/Syd. and run 300k. My .02 The...
Before I got some cork I just crammed some pieces of bounty paper towel in the key way under the bearing real tight and never had a problem. I don't believe if your sliding on a greasy bearing the key way stays clean and silicone likes clean and dry.
The industry standard for most bearings...
Believe most were leaving the regulator out of the system and just running full truck air pressure.
Now just a small water catch would be nice as the Deuce A2 did not have an air dryer. Nice upgrade.
I believe so. If I remember a little air in the system it would idle but if you blipped the throttle it would climb but slow to return.
Guys it's been a long time since I have worked on a PT system and most on the 809 series. Did they change the return line system on the 939 series. I thought...
Should be a sticky. Should be part of maybe half year / yearly maintenance to pull off shut down cover and check for sticky fuel control. Seems like it would be easer to correct / free it up if it was getting sticky before it sticks bad enough to cause WOT. I went to inspect a truck that the...
But leaving the shut down pushed in if the fuel control sticks it will go to full throttle. Do you want a no start and fix the problem or wide open throttle and have many problems. Leave the shut down cable pulled out.
Think that's the way I feel sometimes when you post. Do believe most people are not stupid just misinformed lets say. Do believe sometimes real stupid people don't live that long.
As for the old rubber seal bet when it was new it would open up and let the grease out easer. Older maybe harder and...
Veg soake in after a couple of days in the sun and not slick. I take used motor / transmission to the recycle tank at the dump.
At my age I don't even need a reason to do any stupid. I am a Tri sexual I will try anything once.
Christmas came early this Thanksgiving. I had go to the dump today and found three jugs of used vegetable oil. I do it every year going to the dump looking for vegetable oil after Thanksgiving. I treat the trailer deck with it and got lucky as there was plenty sooner than I thought. Problem is...
Yep I always check the band brake and everyone I checked was rusted. I go to NAPA and get the Sterns liquid grease it is like corn head grease. Rebuild with new seals is nice but quick fix liquid grease.
