I need some help. I am having a drum cutter mount fabricated for the flu419 so that I can tunnel through solid rock. They need these measurements but I am wondering if there is a known source of accurate measurements for this vs me trying to measure centers etc with my primitive tools.
Thank you for this input. So current conditions are icy precipitation etc. I am glad to know it's not like my brakes will lock up or something when it gets below freezing.
How do y'all confirm the system is working as expected after you put alcohol in it?
Is it even necessary in temps like 18-28? I'm not really sure at what point it would become a problem. I did do this search and found it is in fact denatured alcohol? I wonder if that is easier on the rubber?

Also for future reference it...
The guy who owned my FLU before me took the FOPS off and lost the bolts! Anyone know the bolt/nut specs (thread pitch, thread length, diameter, thread pitch, hardness etc)?
I tried to derive this from the NSN but was unsuccessful.
For about ten years I hauled a 425 gallon plastic tank in the back of my 1986 6.9L IH IDI F250 and had no issues with it. I'm surprised the FLU419 would have troubl w/ the water buffalo? I suppose the trailer is a lot of extra weight but I figured I had about 3800 pounds of water in the back of...
What is the preferred pintle hitch trailer for the FLU419? Is there one that is at the right height in particular? Anyone pulled a water buffalo behind one?
Well, I had already ordered a bunch of bulbs because I figured if brights worked on one side and not the other and vice versa it must be the bulbs. I was wrong and now have a lot of spare bulbs.
I had already wiggled the fuses the week before but they needed re-wiggling. Now ALL my lights work...
Well, my headlights are odd too. With the top auxiliary, only one works. Regular, left works on bright but not right, and vice versa on non-bright. No rear red lights work at all. I do have fuses on order too so I am going to be replacing all those too before I do more bulb replacement. I know...
That makes total sense. I wonder why they are not working then, I guess it's some other problem, since my unimog only has 370 hours on it and LEDs are supposed to last like 10,000 hours. Thanks for the tip I will open them up and peek inside. LED's would be better and I guess I will have a...
Uh oh...I didn't check what was in there...I just went by the part number in the manual! Do the LED's plug right into the same bulb outlet or is it a retrofitted socket? I didn't even think about upgrading to LED's but I wish I would have, putting in these archaic NOS bulbs seemed a bit off...
I found the light bulbs for the rear on ebay for a reasonable price and ordered some extras in case they burn out right away due to some other issue. Thanks!
I do not need a separate turn signal, I need any rear turn signal. I just wasn't sure if it is supposed to be in the red light or not, neither of them work and both the front ones work so I wasn't sure.
My SEE is running again. I jiggled all the fuses and it worked fine after that. I am not sure if that is a coincidence or not but some looked pretty funky. Ordered new fuses and headlights while I'm at it.
Appreciate all the support, it was a terrifying 24 hours.
I have another question. I...
I did find a way to search this specific thread. See attached.
The search for splitter in the parent unimog thread is https://www.steelsoldiers.com/search/2687061/?q=splitter&t=post&c[child_nodes]=1&c[nodes][0]=34&o=date for anyone else who is looking.
I will perform another search using the...
Having same problem. Moved it ten feet, no problem, moved it back, turned it off. Fired it back up less than 20 minutes later and acts like it's in neutral no matter what I shift into.
Question - is there any way to search this specific thread for a FLU 419 issue? I am a little mortified...I fired it up, moved it ten feet to list a 1000 lb lister diesel out of a trailer, moved it right back to its spot. No strange noises or anything. Fired it up a while later and can't get...
Tried out the jackhammer today! Wow...what a major upgrade from my 15 amp harbor freight electric. I live on solid limestone bedrock so something like this will be very handy. The stub hoses leaked but I had already ordered replacements on ebay that had come in. So I just swapped them out and...
