M36A2 fr Lansing to NE Michigan 160 miles

My truck was almost empty on fuel. I brought 5 gallons and some diesel power additive, so make sure you have some...The sooner people leave on Friday the better due to a snow event on the way.

M36A2 fr Lansing to NE Michigan 160 miles

You are welcome. Your truck has a full set of manuals & an extra on-off switch! Winch is spooled with wire rope! The toolbox is locked...not by me. Your truck should be a runner & if you leave prior to the next snow event, you should be fine. You are more than welcome to park at my place if...

    Older Humvee Cannot ID

Hi Mark, The trucks that I have owned seemed to not have the data plates removed. I think this because of paint lines, rivets and looks. I have not heard the data plate box story. In fact all my trucks the serial number was not smeared but the registration number was hit with a grinder. I...

On the truck I got, the serial number is on the hood along with reg number. Then below them are the NSN and Wxxxxxxxxxxxxxx number. This W number is not anything like the serial number. example sn: 1111-11111

    HMMWV A2 Project

Mike, depends on my work load. When I started the project, I thought I would go slow with it...but not this slow! It would be a fun and fast trip to take it to Aberdeen. OR come see it at Clare MI this August!!!

    Older Humvee Cannot ID

That is really interesting Mark. Thanks for looking. On the units I have had or have looked at, they did not match. These came out of the GA auction and did not appear to be manipulated. So perhaps they were syncronized during 1987. I would still be cautious about using the a-pillar as the...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Chuck, you are more than welcome to stop by for a chat...I might even hand you a wrench! I was slowed down on my progress by some linkage! I turn a few more wrenchs and found that I had the wrong tranny linkage on. This made the shifter linkage not connect properly. In the picture, the left...

My New 6.5 TDL HMMWV engine. Is this the right one?

You can have a fan cutout switch mounted near the ip with proper linkage attached to the drivers side of the ip. The turbo wire harness allows for a cutout switch, a tps and ip power. See picture. Left circle is the bracket that hold the fan cutout switch and the right circle is bracket that...
