did the same on my old ford p/u. put the shaft up in and forgot one cap lock ring and got out on the road and punched it then pop, bang bang bang bang LOL
i paid $7200 for mine, put new sneakers on it and fixed some inspection stuff before i could plate it all in for repairs to plate it and the new tires was $9000 in cluding the taxes

if your expieriencing vibrations at low speeds try rotating your rear driveshaft 180* on the pinion. also if your in canada and looking for parts the GM Stealerships do not have acess to any parts information your best option is NAPA
check your u-joints and look for a missing wheel weight.

medlohg anychance you got some under hood pics of the air intake with the snorkel on? especialy the conection between the factory air cleaner can and the piping?
i have an air force m1009 the markings are on the doors and on the lower portion of the tail gate. my camera is broke right now otherwise i would post the pics.

IIRC the CDR vlave is listed as the PCV valve at NAPA for the 6.2l i will be in town to-morrow getting the same thing for the green meanie so i will check it out and get you a part number
well i got the IP timed and holy bannas does it sound better, like a diesel should sound LOL at least all the ones i have busted knuckles on. and it actully moves when i step on it LOL. mind you its not a vette but at least it doesnt take me 2 miles to get to 50 mph LOL

took mine over a scale today at the dump, with a ful ltank of fuel, no cap, me , a winch and my range gear, 6279.
so i am guessing curb weight empty is around 5800-5900
i have the pintle/2" ball replacement as well in place of the milspec pintle, while the heaviest i trailered is 2 cords of wood. i have used it as an attachment point to pull trees down and stumps out. with no issues at all
