well frequency meter will tach it just fine since the gen head is directly connected to the motor. And you already have a freq meter built in. OR if you need to have a broader range plug your multimeter into the outlet on the front and measure away. All you have to do then is a little math. Hz...

Great post and story Kevin exactly what makes these places useful wish more people would post back their follow up stories. To many just ask for help then do not follow up with what happened and what did or did not work.

Id open up the main relay (breaker) first and see if you can just clean the contacts and not get it to work. The TM shows a detailed break down of the part, i believe it is the depot level service manual that has the drawing.

Possible you did not rebuild the injector pump correctly. Ive heard of pumps being rebuilt and people have a runaway engine, at least until it throws a rod or something from the super high rpm. Id check what uscgmatt said the gov linkage, and the throttle linkage. Otherwise id be suspect of that...

Do you see the inspection window on the side of the pump. There are two flat head screws holding it onto the side of the pump. Simply remove those screws pull it off and all the fuel will drain out through this rectangle. Dont lose the gasket or the screws. Lee

I would not lose sleep over this. Just dont idle it at low RPM for to long. IF mines all the way In Ill just pull it out half way and crank it over. And adjust to 60hz I think its just bad for it to sit there for minute or more.

Well i would not rebuild your injector pump until you get fuel to it and verify it wont pump fuel. From what it sounds right now you dont even have fuel flow period from the main tank. So of course its not going to run. My fuel pumps did not work either I removed them and hooked them directly...
