This sounds a bit funny, but it has been a while since I messed with my lights. What year is your truck and the donor vehicle?
I have a '66 deuce that came with the tiny tail light and brake light lens. I replaced them with lights off of a later model trailer, year unknown. I had no...
Ridgerunner’s avatar, is cool looking. Rambling Wreck’s picture if funny, but APM215’s is hilarious!! That nose job!!
I don't think anybody mentioned this cause I didn't have time to read each post in detail, but putting a lockout hub on your middle axle or maybe pulling an axle and replacing...
I thought this thread looked familiar.
It looks like the company that helped me out, Air Brake Specialties, is out of business. All links to them end up dead end.
What is your symptom?
If your problem is that the brakes won’t release when you have parked and disconnected it, that is...
Take a look at:
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/61140-m35-wire-number-chart.html
That is a sticky posting in the deuce section.
If the little metal tags on the wires are still there, this will help.
EDIT: I took a look at your picture again and it looks like the tags went with the...
I would guess that you have a bad in-tank pump. I ran mine for a while without knowing it was dead because under ideal conditions the IP can suck the fuel out of the tank, but not if there is any air in either the lines or the filters.
A new in-tank pump runs over $200 (lots of threads) but...
The springs in the governor are different, too and the LDT has a “droop screw” that the LD doesn’t. You can just put in a allenhead machine screw. See the TM that you can download from this site.
I’ve been contemplating a change like that on my ’66 M109 if I don’t scrape up the change to...
Years ago when my dad was getting ready to apply for a patent on a trailer hitch, I did the mathematical analysis of bumper mounted hitches vs 5th wheel hitches. Everyone knows that a 5th wheel is better, but not always the best, but we needed to know how to analyze different configurations...
You're an inspiration, dude. Maybe if I show your pic’s to my wife, she’ll be a little kinder to my project.
My truck is a 1966 Kaiser-Jeep with a NON-turbo engine (means poor power). I was particularly interested in seeing the pic’s of the back with the floor pulled up. My truck went to...
Also, those aren't serial numbers, they're probably lot or sale numbers. The gov't didn't track serial numbers on trailers the way they did on vehicles. That's why it is such a short number. When I went to register the numbers on an M105 it was already registered by someone else.
About equipment returning from Iraq, I certainly do not have 1st hand experience, so take my opinion for what it is worth.
I have been told that prior to Iraq, very little equipment ever returned from an overseas combat zone, particularly equipment that was not servicable. I have seen...
My thoughts about your M105A2: About all those shot up and dented vehicles at Hooks, TX, those were most likely used in training and ordinance testing; that kind of stuff never, ever comes back from overseas.
I was in the 15th Combat Engr Bn., 9th IF and 1/11th Artillery, 9th IF., Vietnam. In...
Just to close this thread and say 'THANKS', Blueduce picked the trailer up and will bring it to Colorado later this summer. THANKS
There was 1 problem, the wires going into the light buckets were cut. I will send him another set of lights from another trailer and deal with the damage later...
I came down from near the Divide on a really windey road with ~2500 lb. in the trailer and it got quite interesting!! My Bronco weighed probably 3500 gross and the 2 were fighting about going around corners.
The spare comment was meant for another thread; my little mine got all swirled up. I...
What I'm contemplating might be stupid and dangerous, so if you think so, please feel free to say so.
I just won a bid in Hooks, TX on an M101A2 trailer and am thinking about bidding on another there to make my trip down and back more profitable; I live in the Denver, CO area. The trailer I...
If you decide to scrap it, let's figure out what shipping will cost to Denver, CO and I might be interested in the parts. I just won a bid on an M101A2 which I bid on SPECIFICALLY to get the surge brakes.
I have an M101A1 that I got wo/ tongue and wheels or drums. I cut the original 5 bolt...
