I didn't think you could preview at redstone unless you had a military pass or had a paid invoice to get on the base. They quit coming to the gate to escort you in a long time ago.
They all see the same voltage since they are hooked up in parallel. I don't know the exact voltage, but it is about 12v. I think both the voltage and current per glow plug goes up as each one burns out. Total current would decrease.
Most of the time. It takes spells of working and not working.
Five to 10 seconds depending on how cold it is for those that don't.
Mine was staying on almost 60 seconds and wouldn't just click of, but made kind of a buzz for second or two. Finally the relay died along with all the glow...
You are wrong.
The glow plugs would have to be hooked up in series to work the way you describe. They are not. The 8 glow plugs are connected to a voltage dropping resistor that is calibrated to 13G glow plugs. I don't think 60G glow plugs are different enough in load to be a problem...
I have picked up an item or two over the years that said it was hardened against EMP in the online description of the NSN. It was a wiring harness with heavy wire braiding around the outside like coax cable and screw on connectors at each end. Another was a wire in a metal tube with screw on...
Did you read the two posts that are recommended at the bottom? One of them has practically the same title. It is closed so I guess you couldn't add to it.
The CUCV is not shielded but it is debatable if there is much on it that needs to be. There are some good links in the old post.
I didn't see this post until after I posted mine.
I fail to see the logic of your compliant. The only person who can be complaining is the guy who bid $975 on all of them. He ended up paying about $40,000 more than he would have had to had the $875 bid not been placed. The only way the...
Wouldn't you need a hazmat endorsement on your drivers license to pull that with any kind of oil or fuel in it? Or is this another one of those things that is illegal but never enforced?
There is a lot of conflicting information in this thread. If you decide to get that free sticker, just be sure you understand the full implications. It may just be that you are putting a sign on your truck that you are commercial and you know it and that you will also have a log book, health...
I have been told that a steering column swap is an easy job if he has really messed it up. He may just think it is messed up and it is just the starter relay.
GM had all of the TMs for CUCV II on their website at one time. I think I have a copy on one of my computers if you need them.

A new headlight will run about $30 and a new flasher about 45 to 50. You would be lucky to pay less than 2500 to 3000 at GL. Sometimes in a big sale with better trucks than this one, it might go as low as 1700. Then there is 10% buyers premium and sales tax, fuel or shipping to get it home...
Have you read this thread yet?

There is something wrong with the first truck but it isn't that big a deal not to have the plugs cycle a few times after starting. It does help with rough idling but it mostly to decrease smoking...
The only way that I can see what you have in your picture working is if the two pairs of white wires with the yellow terminals go to a switch and you do not actually use your relay.
Nothing wrong with using a parts store relay. Actually, there is not much wrong with the setup you have, just a...
That is a picture of some messed up wiring. You need to look at appendix F in the -20 TM and read on the list for a while. Also looks like the original glow plug relay that should be replace even if it does still work.
What it should look like...
