Re: RE: New guy question,Front axle
Many Years age AVM made some for the 5 tons. I've been looking for some for a while myself but no luck. Someone suggested I contact Mile Marker as they may be able to help but I haven't had any time to follow up on it.
I tend to agree. This plane was so far ahead of it's time. Kelly was brilliant.
Each of the aircraft listed could claim the honor for it's time period but they were small steps forward in technology for the time. The Blackbird rewrote the book. As an example, the engine tubes and movable cones...
Doing a little research on these rims and ran across this post. Downloaded the tire manual, but so far I'm 0 for 2 attempts. No beadlocks just plain old tubeless 1600 XZLs.
One has a real slow leak but the other a definite no-go. Any tricks to keeping the air in?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks RDD. I'll pay them a visit tomorrow.
Got the 5 ton drive train under another truck and have to run all the lines etc. I bought a gov rebuilt front and it didn't have anything on it. I rebuilt the other one I had but hosed a fitting taking it off.
Does anyone have a source for the fittings/bolts that attach the brake lines to the wheel cylinder on a 5 ton front? Saturn has the flex lines but no fittings. Did find one place but kinda pricey. If I have to I have to but thought I'd check first.
Thanks
