    Dana 60

Buzzen, I do not know much about doing the degree shims but from the research I found to change the caster angle I would have to take it to a shop and the have to do something crazy. I cant remember exactly what it was but it was something like drilling the axle where the kingpin screws in and...

    Dana 60

I have in multiple posts on here. I am done trying to fix this axle. Seems like I have been sinking money in a dead horse. Yes I put brand new factory leaf springs with brand new shackles and new bushings all the way around.

    Dana 60

Already tried 2 different sets of tires and had both of them computer balanced. Also had all 7 universals replaced and the driveshafts balanced. Like I said, this has been going on for a year and the only thing I have not changed are the spindles and the axles themselves. I am done with it...

    Dana 60

I have sunk way too much money into this axle fixing everything that everyone has told me to fix and there has been no difference in the wobble. New wheel bearings, new king pin kits top and bottom, new shocks, new springs, new shackles, new tie rod ends and crosslink, new rotors. I am sick of...

    Another Death Wobble Dilema

I took it to a local shop called Beeline in Columbus that specializes in alignments and they say it is dead on. When he test drove it he said it scared him and for me to come pick it up. It literally bounces the front tire off the ground. I did complete rebuilds of the kingpins with new lower...

    Another Death Wobble Dilema

Now I have searched and searched the threads on death wobbles and I have taken everyones advice and I have taken my M1008 to shops that specialize in axles and frames and alignments. Here is what I have done so far... Brand new factory springs, shackles and bushings Brand new tie rod ends and...

    Where to get bilstein shocks?

I have searched about the best shocks to use and it seems in agreement with everyone that bilstein is the best. So I have began searching and found that from the M1008 the correct part numbers are ak2043 and ak2042. I went directly to Bilsteins website and they still show them are active part...

    Injector pump shot?

Thank you, you were right. I went through 3 sets of charged batteries before it starting pumping out fuel. Again Thanks!

    Injector pump shot?

I have an 86 M1108. Recently developed a leak in the fuel line back where it crosses over under the cab. I have now fixed that but cannot get it started. I correctly primed the filter until I had a steady stream with no air. Hooked the red wire back up on the injector pump yet it still would...

    starting and chattering

I have searched and searched about Glow Plug relays and everything I have seen says if there is an I and a S on the relay it is the wrong one. I just went out and picked up a ECHGPR110 from Napa it it has an S and an I on it yet this is the one eveyone say is correct, even in the FAQ section...

    16.5 9.75 steel wheels

I have the 37 hummer radials on a set of 16.5x9.75 and I have a set of 36 hummer biased ply on 16.5x9.75 and have had absolutely no problems. On Memorial day weekend I had the 36" at powerline park and did some pretty hadcore mudding with no problems. As long as you keep your pressure up you...

    Transmission leak

UGH!!! Still no luck. If anyone has one available I am willing to take a road trip this weekend. Time is running out.

    Transmission leak

The guy sent me on a goose chase, 3 1/2 hours round trip for the short one so I am still in need. I sent you PMs dstand97 and hovenga67. Thanks. I talked to a guy at a transmission shop and he says this is normally caused by a u-joint. Looks like I might as well replace them all while I have...

    Transmission leak

None that I can tell. The cross member looks good. It does not look like it is bent at all and all the bolts in it are tight. I think I will take the driver shaft into a shop and have it checked. Maybe it is not balanced. Thanks.

    Transmission leak

I appreciate both you offers but I think it's a little to far for me to come and get. I found one here locally and the guy wants $75.00 for it. Seems kind of high to me but I am kind of in a rush to get it back together. I need to use it next week to pull my boat to the Ohio River for...

    Transmission leak

This turned out to be a cracked transfer case adapter as well. There is a fine crack in it almost 180 degrees across the top half of the adapter.aua Doe anyone have one of these they want to sell?
