    Poping sound when turning

If it is coming from the rear its probably the axles shifting on the leaf springs and that's normal.

    Injector tip coking

Here is an update. Since installing the new injectors I have had no more problems. Even went back to driving through town instead of the freeway as it a lot shorter. No more missing, No more engine knocks at idle. Col 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are...

Oil / Gas mix to fuel deuce

I run what ever comes out of the cars and trucks in my shop. Trany fluid, gear oil old gas and used motor oil. My tanks are almost always full of 100% used oils. In the six months i have driven it i only payed for fuel once. If i drain it in my shop it's poured through a 5 micron sock...

    Newbie needs help, fuel problem

The deuce does not need the in tank pump to run. if you have fuel coming out the bleeder on the secondary filters you have enough fuel for it to start and at least idle. Mine became very hard to start after i had it for a while. I turned up the fuel and have not had any more problems. I run it...

    Temporary Regulator bypass

The VOLTAGE regulator controls the volts coming from the alternator. Bypassing it can quickly destroy your batters and burn out any electronics, Think bulbs, flasher unit, fuel pump. The batterys may be enough of a buffer to protect the electronics but i would not risk it.

2011 Wa State Mini Rally #5

Well guys, My wife does not want to drive that far for only one day. So we wont be coming. There is always the chance she will get mad at me for something and refuse to go camping with me. Then I can come alone. Just kidding. Hope you all have a great time. Numbers 12 9 The anger of the...

Rear Diff Smells like a Sewer PLUS: ID these diff parts???

I would not be surprised if the employee that did the job took the oil out of inventory. You can't tell the boss you put oil in it if the oil is still on the shelf. I have been real lucky in that my employees will admit their mistakes. But in today's world most won't and that can put the...

Rear Diff Smells like a Sewer PLUS: ID these diff parts???

The gears should have a smooth surface. If the surface is rough or a dark blue it could become a problem. In one mile of driving the gears may or may not be damaged. But if the shop is willing to stand behind their mistake I would be more concerned about the gears. Just a thought. If this is a...

May have screwed the pooch with WMO

I have noticed that too Paul. I some times wonder if its because used motor oil has been diluted with fuel. Or it may be we just get use to 5-30 or 10-30 being so thin. Luke 18:2-5 saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in...

May have screwed the pooch with WMO

I have found diesel works better for thinning than gas. But I have been running 100% waste oil unless i run low then i add diesel. My truck runs better on gear oil than anything else. Wished i serviced more manual trans and diffs. Your problem is probably water. I took out my hydrolic head...

Rear Diff Smells like a Sewer PLUS: ID these diff parts???

The bearings will not be the problem. Without lube the gears will be what gets damaged. The ring and pinon slide across each other. you need to make sure they are not scored or they will go away fast. The bearings roll on the race and in one mile probably have no damage at all. Mal 3:1...

    See through Multifuel

I have seen several clutches fly apart. Never seen the top of a trans blow off. Its seem from what I read at this site your more likely to be taken out by a rod trying to choke of the intake than by the clutch. Just wonder why no one tries to kill it with the trans. 300 foot pounds of toque is...
