    Compressor Missing Freeze Plug

One of the freeze plugs is missing on the top-engine side of my compressor. Pics Attached. Need to drive my Deuce tomorrow and was wondering if I should wait till I get a new freeze plug before I drive it? The compressor still pressurizes the system good and the air buzzer stays off all day...

    Gear lube question

How about using the Wal Mart brand SUPERTECH 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Lubricant for the diffs, tranny and transfer case? Amongst other things, on the bottle is written, "Protects against rust, foam, high temperature and corrosion of copper or bronze bushings." Sounds like this GL-5 is designed for...

Florida Guys - Who is up for a mid September Ride?

If I get my M109A3 in time, I'll be there. Just one question though. Is there enough height clearance on most of the trails at Richloam to clear an M109A3?

Ft. Benning to Sorrento, FL M109A3 transport needed

Hi, if I don't manage to get the brakes fixed (pedal goes to the floor) before my EUC clears (hopefully before the GA Rally), I will need to have the truck transported. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg :driver:

Sorry to hear that happened to you Ray! It was good that you weren't far from home. I'll make sure to check the pump on my M109A3. What percentage of WMO and gas did you run this past weekend? Greg

Hi Ozzy. I'll probably wait about a month then contact DLA to see if there's anything I can do to assist in expediting the paperwork. There's some good info at this link about that. Greg http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/54962-euc-delayed-send-letter.html

Yes Sir. My thoughts exactly. I'll be buying a few gallons at ~$53/gallon including shipping. Sure beats NAPA's price at about $110/gallon. Greg

Nice try Recovry4x4! I'll keep these tires! They are practically new. This is the first M109A3 I've seen without the NDT's (at least in the couple of weeks I've been looking). Yes, it was a GL purchase. I'm waiting on my paperwork to clear and getting the brakes fixed before I drive it home...
