RE: Re: RE: Deuce ownership?
What I have noticed is the guys that love driving the deuce usually don't mind working on her. Remember the truck was vintage when you got it so it will need alittle attention. But for a deuce a little goes a long way.
JT, Sorry to hear about Ross. Loosing a good friend is very difficult. Now get off your butt and post the pics of your cross-country journey or I'm gona burn you with the "This thread is useless without pics " icon.!!
Bill,
Whenever my wife complains about my OD fever I plan on referring her to this thread! Great job and nice looking trucks. Seven or I mean Eight is a good number when it comes to owning deuces.
I used rustbullet on deuce hardtop and have had a real good result. Water had been sitting in some spots on the hardtop so I wanted to rust proof as good as I could. I used CARC paint over it with no issues.
RE: Inspection report (Good, the bad, the ugly)
Sounds like a good truck. Probably has the sprague transfer so the front axle will engage automatically if its still working. Glad you got the truck. Good luck on the recovery.
That looks like the way to go. Thanks for the pics. In pic 13 it looks like you got yourself the little brass fitting for the brake master cylinder? I have found it is a good idea to keep an extra one of those around.
