the "metallic ping" you heard when torquing down the pump, was the fuel pump push rod snapping in half! Replace the rod as stated (coated in grease to help hold it up) and i bet it will solve your problem. You may need a magnet to get the upper portion of the pushrod out of the block.
what transfer case are you running? Most Military Humvee's use the 218 or 242 transfer case which does not have 2wd. Unless you have a replacement transfer case with 2 wheel drive like a 241. I am curious which transfer case you are running. Some pics of your shifter and transfer case will...
It really doesn't matter what business you go with, it's the guy doing the painting. I would not trust anyone, unless i have seen examples of work quality. CGI paint is very easy to paint with. I would paint it with a roll brush before i got ripped of by MAACO. And i did! (paint my first...

The last photo above shows the tv cable setup. (using the mounts from the turbo 400)
I have not posted the video yet. Some of the content is helpful info on setting up a 700r4 and some is documenting the craftsmanship of the crew that installed it....Here are few examples how i got it back...
I posted the pic of the numbers on the a pillar from one of my trucks. If you had those numbers but had lost the vin plate, is it possible the military would have record of the vin that was associated with the registration numbers? i am not sure. If so maybe those number have been painted...
Does the parking brake have a lock on it that must be depressed to release the brake? Do you have brackets on the front of the A pillar for the early style mirrors? What type of front seats do you have? There are alot of clues to narrow down the year, but nothing that would pin it down to an...
check out govplant's auction results. You can find a number of PLAN B truck sold out of utah in past auctions. Maybe you can see a few pics that will help.
