well, rain-x it is, the wiper pumps are shot. Did the alcohol and lube bit and neither of them will return, they just shoot to one side but stick
oh well, looks like I get to pop them open and take a look inside, maybe they can be saved
sounds to me like yours quit running, they attempted to diagnose it, found it was shot and they put the parts back onloose and stripped the rest
I found this link helpful:

now, if this...
yeah, I know, I'm not what you'd call an extreme wheeler. I usually take it easy, and I'm the guy that never airs down his tires (well, now that I have onboard air I can)
yeah, that settles it. Clutch it is, I never had a problem before, and I still bungle up sometimes without the clutch and it scares the heck out of me. My dad drives large cranes all day so he's used to unsynchronized trannies, I told him I probably wanted to use the clutch on this, but nope...
also, you mentioned about first gear low malfunctioning, true enough I had it in first low when testing. Should I try second low or first high to see if it goes in? Is there any sort of sequence I have to go through for it to work properly. I went from low reverse to low first to be sure but...
you are absolutely correct, this morning before work I got stuck again to have my bro look exactly for what was turning- he wasn't sure yesterday, but today we confirmed the driveshaft wasn't spinning. So, it's good news everything in the axle is OK, bad news the t-case isn't OK <img...
I decided to start a new thread on my axle question.
so, when I had my brother watch for the wheels, we got her stuck on a boulder and was in first low range, or maybe it was second, not sure.
so we got stuck and the rears were both spinning freely for traction, the fronts were rocking back...
every time I drain my tanks, the inner tank is full of water, the outer seems to have a bit of mist now and then, but the inner one always blasts out a spray. Is that a sign something is wrong? Where's that inlet that was mentioned that I can put some water dryer into? thanks <img...
hmmm... I'd still like to know if the rest of you use the clutch, but how expensive and easy are trannies to replace in these trucks, versus the clutch. Is it about the same amount of work? I have a feeling I'll burn the clutch up, I'm the sort of person that really likes to ride it and I've...
very cool, I'll let him know. Although he live in Malibu he gets kind of cheap when it comes to vehicles, go figure. But man, now I'm tempted, I never really was fond of the HMMWV, but it would be a sweet vehicle......
sweet! looks like a great start and lots of fun. I have to admit I have my eye on an M109 a couple blocks from where I live, it's been sitting on the side of the guys house for years and I may just make an offer. A camper/mobile machine shop would be pretty handy <img...
where can I buy some of these? Looks like we'll need to cut our own and affix them to our flaps, can't find them anywhere. We'll paint them OD instead of chrome
at the risk of sounding like the newbie that I am, do you all shift without the clutch? I was talking with my dad and he said I didn't need to clutch the shifts, and he took me out, and amidst some grinding here and there (he explained the subtle difference between "grinding" and "chattering"...
in reference to the videos above, and this one here, I discovered my front axles weren't turning! I haven't had a chance to pop the flanges off, but the driveshaft is spinning, I'm wondering if someone has desplined it or if an axle broke? How tough are the steer axles? Do they use u-joints...
thanks for the lead, I'm contacting him as we speak. There was one unit on eBay, and I had my bid in days ago, and of course the snipers come at the last minute. But it was funny cause there were two snipers that came with a couple minutes left and got in a bidding war with each other, then...
interesting, I sat down and did the math and you're right- it would take 14,850 miles to recoup the cost :( That's assuming you picked up 1 MPG, if you got more then that's great
dang, shouldn't it only be reckless if you were going 131? nah, I got areckless for rolling my truck so I shouldn't talk- $575, ouch
