shoot, if you got it for $950, that's not bad at all. I saw one on there today that appeared to have been dropped upside down from a crane or something, it was at $1300 or something
cool, that sounds like ane ays route. I'f I'm outbid on eBay for the m35 heater I'll do that- the concerns I have with any heater come down to how I route the coolant lines through the firewall, and how what do I take power off of for the switch?
thanks! not as bad as I thought. I'll start saving my lunch money for an air case in the meantime then. And selectros- yup, that'll be sweet. I'd easily go the flange route if I had the air shift case, but if I'm upgrading the case I might as well make it really easy on myself, right...
I got a friend that is in the market for a military humvee. Either a solid affordable one, or a hulk that can be rebuilt. Cost is an issue, so it doesn't need to be one of these restored good condition ones, just the genuine article. I told him he might look for a civi hummer and paint it and...
yeah, it's good to have military vehicles clogging up the driveway, if it were anything else people might not be afraid to complain to the cops
I'll just tell them they're unAmerican for complaining <img...
yeah, I was thinking about that for sure. Is there any special heater core I should use?
Do you happen to know what size in/outlets I'd use, it's 5/8" right? And about hooking it up to the coolant system- are there takeoffs capped off somewhere or do I split off using t's on existing lines...
sounds like what I'm looking for! Actually we are dbating on what we should do. We don't want to move to the sticks cause we have no real way of supporting our hobbies (which are expensive). It would be nice to live the simple life but I like my toys too much so we need to get some sort of...
these are quite emabrassing, but I had to post them anyway cause they're funny. Just goes to show that even a hamfisted operator can stick the deuce
it's all about the right line, and what you can't see is the layer of slippery weeds...
so what are the options on converting the sprag to either airshift or part time? Is it possible to modify the sprag case to be part time by installing an extra lever to engage just the front?
Does the airshift use a whole different style case, or is it able to be sourced in pieces and...
hey all, interested in buying a heater unit with the fan and heater core, what exactly would I need besides that to make it functional? Doesn't have to be pretty, doesn't have to be NOS parts or correct per restoration standards, I just want a heater that will distribute some hot air to the...
saw this searching around. It's interesting- but loses half the ability of the deuce. Why not just put bigger tires and axles on an M37 if you want something this short? (down at the bottom)

......and he also said that 11x20's were out of the question on those rims, he wouldn't mount them. I mentioned the military put 11x20's on deuces and he said they're too big

we call our place Fort Burns, after the street name. We're nestled right into a pretty raw neighborhood, lots of hostility, apathy and no other citizens, just denizens ...
he's right, this is unlike other military vehicles where the brake need air to unlock, instead, if you have no air you have barely any brakes at all, should be able to load it fine
eek! check out gulfway insurers of florida, just do an internet search. I was reccomended them by another guy here, forget who. Anyway, I tried Hagerty colector insurance but you need a fully enclosed solid garage, I only had a carport. Good luck fitting these in a garage! Progressive...
hey guys, as promised here's the BIG forum banner
http://www.buschandbusch.com/forumbannerBIG.gif
it's revised form the banner above- I seem to have only saved a small version, but if this will be on T-shirts I made a bigger more detailed, cleaner version
hope you like it
holy articulation batman! I never thought a 2.5 ton 10 leaf pack could flex like that!
After having experienced it more, and testing it offroad some I may be inclined to just remove the smallest overload leaf, see if that helps any, also put some teflon pads between each leaf for queit...
