we did something similar for our t-bucket- there's no locking column and you can easily hotwire it, but we have a quick disconnect steering wheel and a padlock running through our gearshifter so they can get it out of park (well, unless they crawl under and disconnect the linkage but thieves...

I have to decide between lugging a 3-ton floor jack or a Hi-Lift up there (or does the deuce come with its own jack?)
does a 48" Hi-Lift fit under the axles and still clear the underbody? Looks like it probably would.
cool- just curious, I'd figure pulling the driveshaft would be easier. I'd mentioned to Alex about pulling the axle shafts and he asked if I had covers for when they were pulled out, I acted confused and he said they'd need a cover? What does that entail? Can you just pull one shaft and put...
cool- the last issue of MVM had a great article on front end alignments and said disconnecting the interaxle driveshaft is the number one thing to reduce front tire wear. Is your interaxle shaft connnected? Also SRW'ing is huge, both of which I plan to do. The tires on the truck are good...
just curious what all the options for getting new tires will be. The local Les Schwab does heavy truck tires, but I haven't really looked into it further. Mail ordering is something I want to avoid with the shipping cost.
Are NDT's the only tires you'd consider or will normal heavy truck...
glad to help in whatever way I can, it's the least I could do with all the help you've all given me
you are the #1 result when I searched for M35A2 on Google. Quite an honor. Running two sites I know how hard it is to get listed even
cool, thanks. Sorry for the quality, but looking at this dash can you tell if it is airshift?

alright, I've been researching non stop about deuces before I pick mine up, but I feel like I'm missing something. Anybody have last minute tips about the deuce, like anything that is different from any other vehicle.
Like, I know you shouldn't pump the gas pedal, only use diesel, something...
how do you know if the truck has airshift? The one I'm picking up Friday is a '67, I've seen earlier ones with airshift and later without, so what was the rule on those?
I personally like it without the crew cab, looks perfect! is the family complaining about not being able to ride or something?
cool. Do you know what the 2 1/2 ton ESP program is? What size are the stock split rims, are they 20x11?
finally, do you know of a retailer for these?
thanks!
well, I had a link to an article that showed the procedure but forgot to bookmark it before they took it down. BUT, I have the article saved and can e-mail it? Well, it's more of a step by step list than an article, but......
