Since the only thing keeping me from adding a M35 to the collection (Well, in addition to finding one and budget) is the seating. Where'd he stick two kids? Thought it was a 2 seater...
What I'd planned on...
I got a frame mount adapter from xm381.com and while I would love to have the military version with all the lights, the costs I've seen them sell for + the cable costs make it a hard justification for what I hope will be a rare use item. So I'll get a set of magnetic...
Well, from my wet kit the pressure line was a J-16 and the return was a J-12. All going into a valve w/ -10 ports. The bottom is from the pump. I do recall thinking how... un-optimal... it was for the pressure line to be the lowest spot on the vehicle.
Here's the difference.
The angle of the exhaust:
The current height:
And the proposed change:
I know the exhaust pipe itself gets hot enough to melt stuff, as I managed to melt / hole a flag that touched it.
I may try to re-adjust the exhaust stack to point straight out, but that seems...
Wanted to add a about 6" more headroom to the cover on my M923. Looked at dropping some 6" long boards down the bow support holes, but when I did it on the first set of bows it looked like the cover would then be inline with the exhaust.
And I'd hate to melt a hole in a cover.
Anyone done...
You're trying to calibrate against a military gauge... Realistically if you assume everything lies and the max deviation from truth for any one unit is 5%, the 10% the two will be off in the OP's case would more than alarm for real problem or bad gauge.
Finally fixed the oil pressure gauge.
The connection to the sending unit was dirty enough that the gauge went straight to 120 on power up. Actually works now.
Most states have less... um... large barriers to entering the professional driving realm. Most of those trucks on WA roads? Not been through the WA program.
There's a reason the owner of a trucking company I know loves to recruit from JBLM...
WA is the most hostile state I've seen so far for...
As a quick check, does the trans oil temp go up as quick? I'd expect the two to be fairly in sync... I know they're not super accurate, but the $15 IR guns on Amazon will likely get you in the ballpark.
And yeah, you're gonna get a ton of junk out of the inspection plates, I recall what all...
