I have one of the 24V MRE heaters, which plugs into a vehicle. The socket which it plugs into is not the same as the aux socket on older m-series vehicles. Anyone know where I can find a socket to wire into my M35 and what they are called?
I've found two air wiper motor kits which I can't identify. There is a tag in the box which lists the manufacture as US Hardware Supply and the NSN is 2540-01-303-0600. The motor is shorter, thicker than one found on the 2.5 and 5 ton trucks, and the mounting holes are spaced differently from...
I'm in Chilton county Al an got a letter like that from the state DOT saying that records showed that I had a truck weight over xx pounds had to get a dot number blah blah blah. Except if it was for personal use, so I never filed for a number. Havn't had any trouble getting a tag. One of our...
I'm bringing my M35A2. It's a good event and only a few miles off I59. We need more big trucks, so you 2.5 and 5 ton owners come on down. I have a M353 trailer I can bring if anyone is interested- 200.00. I bought a pair a Marine Depot Albany, built a deck on one to haul my M151.
I just put an ad in the classifieds for 18 of the steel posts which make up the sides and seats for an M35(takes 10 per bed). Also two good headboards. I really don't know what these are worth, so I'll take an offer or trade. Need some small items for my M246 project, such as seat cushions...
I have one like yours from a trailer I parted out, and I will be at Peachtree City. You can have it. I will be looking For cab parts for the m246 ( mirrors, windows, wiper motors, etc). I am also looking for a tractor rear harness - prefer an 800 series.
I found a couple of air wiper mators at the rally at Mobile last week. They were shorter and larger in diameter than those found on most 5 and 2.5 tons. I bought them ( they were cheap) thinking maybe they would be a good upgrade. Problem is they mount on 9 inch centers- much more than tthe...
It was sitting in some weeds outside a welding about 5 miles from Alexander City, AL.Some markings are visible onthe doors. "U.S. Air Force For Official Use Only", and the registration number. On the passenger side photo you can see a white circle. On it is a picture of a minuteman and the...
The side covers are in the cab. They were loose so i removed them prior to hauling. The engine will turn by hand, but I'm not going to try a start. There are dirt dauber nests in the carb intake, and the bolts that hold the exhaust pipe to the manifold are broken off.The cab though is in good...
I'll probably pick it up next friday.Don't have any pictures of it, but will post some after I get it home. Never have posted pics to a website , so I will have to figure that out. As to driving - no way that will happen.
Its' been sitting for about 5 or 6 years in one place. When I tell a wrecker company that, they won't touch it for a bumper pull. Afraid the tires might start to come apart. Can't say I don't blame them.
I need to move a M246 wrecker which I am buying from Alexander City AL to my house about 40 miles south of Birmingham- a distanse of about 60 miles. A landoll type trailer will have to be used due to the condition of the tires. So far the best price I have got is 400.00. Is that a fair price?
The serial number is located on the right front frame, above the axle. The mack museum can tell you when it was made. Mine is # M123-1203. It came off the line on June 28,1956. they were able to provide me with a copy of a ledger book page showing it was delivered to the Army at Philly. What do...
I'm finishing up a M123 restoration. The main problem right now is the carb, when I screw the idle screw in all the way, the engine still runs. I tore it down, cleaned it and installed a kit - no luck. As a little background this truck uses an intank pump like the M211. Both pumps were trashed, so...
