So the options (if going supersingle) are to
try and find A3 rims or
get streetlegal rims, and lose the beadlock capability?
Where would be the best place to get 20" rims of appropriate strength, capacity and looks to go on the deuce?
Thanks
Matt
MM-
Question for you about the transfer cases... I just got my Memphis Equipment catalog today.
Do I understand properly that the REB shift kit is a manually controlled transfer case? Like an airshift, minus the air? Thanks.
Matt
I had to correct myself. The other advantage of doing it IHG's way is that the races DO NOT need to be flipped either. It's a rather elegant solution, really, if price is not a determining factor.
Matt
Everyone-
Thanks for the info!!!!
Cranetruck-
To be honest, I thought the term Rockwells was slang for the lockers. I tried using the lingo like a big kid.

Enlighten this poor soul- what's a viscous drive?
Does anyone know the dimensions of the radiator? And what is the...
Deuce-bigalo-
No, IHG is merely stating that there is a way to change from duals to singles without having to press out the lugs and re-insert them the other way. Cranetruck's photo gallery shows that you can do it with a hammer.... but you have to be pretty dilligent about checking your...

The only reason I suggested permanent insulation was because I thought I saw it in an A3, and thought..."that MUST be an improvement"

Do I understand correctly that there is already a thermostat that controls the flow of coolant to and from the radiator? I remember in...
Hey everyone-
I was browsing through cranetruck's online photo gallery, and was intrigued by the pictures of the engine cooling system in the Ameritruck Firetrucks (multistat controlled radiator shutters and fan clutch). I was wondering what the feasibility of this mod to the deuce would be.
I...

I can't answer your question about the engine, but I can tell you that you should add your location to your profile. It's a separate operation, as the profile doesn't get any information from the location in the personal information. It's in CONTROL PANEL and EDIT PROFILE.
Hope...
Well, if anyone has any doubt about getting a deuce - just drive one!!! I did, and now I KNOW I have to have one.
I was able to make it out to Kenny's one morning, and after asking me if I'd driven one, informed me that today was my day. After we looked around at all the other goodies in his...
As for the air shift transfer case, I don't even own a truck, but I can tell you that EVERYONE prefers them. In combination with Selectros Hubs ($550 a pair), most have noticed a marked improvement in steer-ability. Also, IronHorseGeneral reported that with the above equipment, and removing the...
What have people heard about Clark Trucks in WV? I know they are a little more pricey, but for a newbie without shop capabilities/access, it seems the most reliable way to go. Any thoughts?
Matt
MM - I knew it wasn't your truck, but they way you wrote your post, it sounded like you had found some wheels but weren't buying them yet. Next time you can put quotes around it so we(or maybe just I) know it's not you!!! [:)]
M1075 - No thanks on the dissertation about USA 6x6.... I think I...
MM, Where did you find your set, and how much were they?
M1075, I know you mentioned that you have a couple sets of custom beadlocks. In the event that you have sold yours by the time I get around to buying my deuce, where did you get them made?
Thanks a lot!!
Matt
Newbie here.... What's the difference between the M35a2 and the M35a3? The biggest thing(s) my untrained eyes notice are: different grille, CTIS, auto tranny, external intake housing, muffler??..... What else? New engine?
And, in the humble opinion of those assembled, do those modifications...
