I'm down with the spares, though on this particular ride I haven't gotten to that point yet. I'm still at the point of replacing, if I can just get the TIME these days.
I figured one example is enough. The Carrington event, just like the one I mentioned in Canada, is not the type of EMP pulse that is going to burn out electronics. It takes out large electrical grids. Those with miles and miles and miles of wire, which act like a sponge to absorb the energy...
The Gub'ment wouldn't even wait for it to "pop". An ICBM designed specifically for an EMP strike would be indistinguishable from a standard nuclear attack. IOW, WWIII has already started. Plus EMP events are some of the most over-hyped "problems" in the survival circles.
Problem 1 I just...
I’m not sure what’s left of mine. They just got a cursory glance while I was doing other stuff, because I’d just watched someone’s video about changing them out. Same with the cab bushings, but kind of odd in that case. The uppers look practically new. The lowers have left the building...
🤷🏻♂️ Didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers, and my comment was about their parts in general, not the bushings specifically. A lot of that stuff they’ve got posted is being done cheaper, or at least sold cheaper, and fairly readily available. There are things being sold by places I won’t...
I run detroits front/rear in my CJ, about as short wheelbase as you can get, and have never had trouble in snow/ice here in Ohio. The key as far as I can tell is that right foot. Get on the power in a turn and it could get squirrels. You have to know when to hit it, and when to let her just roll.
Dont think “above”, think front and back of tire. When you turn the tire the large diameter tire will have a longer swing on the front and trailing sides. So turn your current tire full lock. If you meausre from the front inside edge, horizontally from the ground midway up the tire, to 3.5”...
I’ll post up some pics, it it would probably be past my expertise level. It’s at the back of the block on passenger side, runs out of one of the oil pan bolt holes, up the block and around the back of the block, parts unknown. It’s the around the curve part that’s probably outside my...
Yep, welding cast iron can be a bitch, but I imagine by the time I shipped an engine out to California and back plus pay for the repair, I could have probably just bought another engine.
I'm going to try to avoid too much water right now. Plan is to soak it down with the super clean, and use a garden sprayer to rinse. I figure a bit better control on where the water goes and how much goes there.
I know that transmission harness can be problematic (it cost me a truck deal) and...
