I am in the same boat with one of my trucks, the output/pitman arm shaft moves up and down when the steering wheel is turned, maybe a 1/8" total travel, it also appears to be leaking oil from this location. I tried the adjuting nut and it did remove some slop, but the shaft movement is still...
Nick, that pic of the Deuce is a definite christmas card pic!!! btw, I'm glad I'm still in NM ;)
I'm glad we got all the EVIL parts out of your truck!, good luck at the new station!

Yeah, he didn't make it to St. Louis last night, when he called me this morning he still had a couple hundred to go to St Louis. He doesn't think He'll be able to finish the trip today, his Co-Pilot is a bit cranky......:-P

Unless you get the GL rep up there from Kirtland on a weekend (not likely) you won't be able to get anywhere near your truck, it's in a locked yard on the NG base....
Check this link, lots of good info, I thought it was on the new site as a sticky....but it's not

I sat in it, looks to be in good shape, I didn't see anything that would lead me to believe it wasn't a runner with the usual pre flight preps. Good luck with it!
Being retired Navy makes it easy too..:-D
Looks like you'll be needing some new side windows for that truck. Did you miss the Santa Fe auction 6 weeks ago? 26 trucks went for 1000 to 1300 less than you paid today.
