Just an FYI, They move trucks around at Barstow with forklifts, both trucks I got there had bent driveshafts.......
Both trucks had NOT been drained, but its best to check/be prepaired if they have.
RE: Re: RE: New rule proposal...
I imagine the link was posted to begin with by a member who was not familiar with the rules?
If a link gets posted, I would suggest (Mods) deleting the entire thread, then when the person asks why, let him know.
Nearly everyone on this site knows about GL, and in short order, can figure out whats there.....So the uproar about this or that for sale at GL, GSA etc..... being, "A secret that only I knew about", is pretty silly.
When you get the proper pins, check the fit, they should be snug, if the pin is loose/fits loose in the hole, that will make it shear easily.....I have a couple of winch trucks where this is the case, I'm still trying to figure out the best fix for this short of welding up the holes in the yoke...
On my way to get this truck tomorrow 16 May, doing this one alone, my Dad is back in Wa. State. Taking the 1008 with all the goodies......
Wish me luck!,
And can you guys keep Murphy busy for me?
Ed
If you do decide to do this, make sure you put weight in the back of your pickup, I did this once, towed a Civy blazer with a K-10. I test drove it after hooking up the bar, and without adding weight to the rear of the K-10, the blazer would push the rearend of the K-10 around on hard stops...
