I wouldn't cut into the existing system. If you do an there's a brake failure or accident, guess who they're going to blame.
That lever/handle thing is interesting though. You could use a large caliper/rotor on the rear axle pinion flange or maybe two calipers. As a parking/e-brake. Then leave...
Finding one is the first step. Finding parts is the second step. Then you get to start working on it. How big of a budget do you have? Honest question. Because anything armor is expensive.
They are viable for a emergency brake. Not sure I'd want a hydraulic brake to be set all the time as a parking brake though. Sadly the brakes wouldn't hold up to everyday use. And with a open diff, depending on traction, they might offer no braking at all at times.
I assume you're using a android based device. If you have tapatalk installed, it's going to prompt there if you want to open it in chrome or if you want to open it in tapatalk. You have an option to select how to always treat the link from there. (This is just what android should do, open...
Again, we need to know what bands you're planning to work. It sounds like you haven't gotten your ticket yet. A tech license would open up 70cm (uhf), 2m (VHF), 6m , and a narrow section of 10m, for voice operation. CW would include those as well as a slice of 15, 40, and 80. General class...

You are correct. I had it in my mind that 2.41 was the base ratio for the diffs. But it's 2.56. (There's also 2.73 and 3.08 )
But back to the half shaft speed, no, that wouldn't change. The gearboxes are 1.92.
55mph with a tire of 36" tall means 514 rpm. 514 x 1.92 gearboxes = 987 rpm for the half shafts.
That said, remember there's still the 3rd member between the half shafts and the transmission/engine. So I'll just use the base 2.41 ratio for the first trucks. That means the driveshaft/engine...
Given the time/cost to rebuild. I'd also recommend simply replacing it. If they were a more "valued" engine like a cummins, cat, exc. Then certainly rebuild.
I would think the distributor would need to be different as well. Since that would need to rotate backwards or at least the drive gear would need a reversed profile. Also the flyweights for it would need to be clocked backwards. Then other things like the starter, water pump, fan, exc.
Not...
