    Power not really off….. strange

Im thinking manual switch did not turn all the way ON and when a surge of power went thru it .... it caused it to jump to OFF. On topic... but not. on topic.... even if your switch might have not just took a spike... Might want to have a way to bypass it kept on hand..... like a bolt you...

So, That Oracle Lighting M1079 at SEMA This Year....

mini split or any other AC will have harder time cooling cab than the camper box. Less insulation and realistically cab is a solar oven.

    Steering towed rig

guess it really does not matter if your camper is a 5 ton and your towing your flat towing daily driver Dodge, Jeep etc......... either way..... what advantages would their be to being able to steer the front wheels of the towed vehicle? Am thinking it would be very handy.

Good use for old fmtv tire.

advantage to, if bed is often empty. That is a lot of weight.. in rainy places or snow season... that extra weight over rear axle might help.

motorcycle rack idea..... bit different in conventional

Most cases... some cockamamie thing like this not too useful. Yet Ambulance box builds like mine.... seems would be pretty effective to have such a contraption..... got swing out rear central doors. Bike mounted forks up like this would keep rear doors still usable.

motorcycle rack idea..... bit different in conventional

something like this has been in my mind for a while. Though this is for bikes. could see it for motorcycle. how steep based on what angle messes with sump oil and coolant etc

Good use for old fmtv tire.

would take lot of spares.... but thought of cutting out flaps from side wall of tires to make a sidewall protection ring.. if not a CTIS protection ring too. Little weary of holding in heat on sidwalls for highway though...... then again wind may catch and lift them some pulling air by the...

    M1078 cracked block

Did you disconnect batteries when you welded? What about Rev. Polarity Box? separate, topic-ish..... what about your CTIS unit- you unplugged when welded, jumping truck etc?? It is known to at times not survive spikes like jumping trucks.... Welding spikes maybe too?

    16R20's fitment without rubbing

just keep in mind..... larger tires will change final ratio sure..... will have less costly.... upfront. But possibly NOT less costly long term...... By time you pay for tire changes two or three times... you're from that point on loosing money compared to doing gear changes. iIFFFF the...

    M1079 Timing Cover replacement

Cover leak is more likely a crack judging by history of these trucks. You may be better off to keep it on.. get an aluminum welder to put a stop hole on each end. of crack and weld it.. then search in here for all the loose bolts that tend to cause/be part of that scenario.

    3116 injector install

hmmm.... wonder for the cup reamer if you dont have it....... one could: 1. push air into the cylinder somewhere. 2. take old injector and coat end with rubbing compound 3. spin it to cut the cup some for good seat honing (maybe do pre/post depth gauge measures? 4. air introduced into...

KAT part appears to be around that. seems they call it "KAT's by Five Star Injection System Actuator." instead of a valve or solenoid search comes up with mostly the 12v... but they sell a 24v actuator too...

    M1078 cracked block

block repair will do nothing but add life to short life. Not sure how much.... bit of a crap shoot. Id be tossing money in savings account for replacement engine and keep eye on the block to watch cracks after pinning. IMHO plan on an engine that is easier to move closer to 300-330hb with out...
