yes on the generator.. It has a 100 amp system and lots of extras under the dash compared to a regular M37 instead of a 60 amp standard. You will probably want to switch to a 12 volt alternator setup if you go with 12 volt. If your not going with a strict restoration there will be lots of stuff...
Welcome to the club! Vintage Wiring of Main will make you a harness but I am not sure of his prices lately. YES! Always unhook the ground or you might end up with a pile of ashes if the wires are as bad as you say. I have seen this truck on ebay a couple of times and even considered buying it...
After I took the C clip off I could not get that plate out and did not want to brake anything..So there is just a O ring behind that? I looked in all my manuals and nothing had a exploded view of the inside so I was afraid of wrecking it.. Hmmm.. anybody have the exploded view to post on here?
I have 4 trucks here with this valve leaking onto the turbo.. Way back when I tried to take one apart and fix it and that did not work.. I also tried sealing one up with shellac goop and that didnt work. Does anyone have a supply of NOS ones? Or know where I can get some? Its the little...
Poppop.
You can do whatever you like with this info.. Part of the fun is uncovering the history of this old stuff.. I feel the same way you do when I figured out it was made by JD and a WWII piece of history. It would make a good article in either magazine and I nudge David Doyle every chance I...

The one I have was built by John Deere but according to your notes they did not serve overseas.. The picture I posted of one off to the left of Dodge WC was captioned to be somewhere in France? .. I will try and find that site again. Anybody have a TM for one?
I am trying to locate TM's , photos, schematics, info of any kind on a John Deere built firefighting trailer from WWII I have found. Or maybe someone I can contact on this matter.. Thank you

You better preview and check the lot numbers on that one.. It looks like Camp Grayling to me.. I did notice when they relisted the trucks they did not put the ID # in the description this time. Covering there butt for sure and will point you to there suck ass contract.. "We will give you your...
If thats the case my billing should have said LOT # such and such and THATS it. Not Truck DTID #, miles, pictures of the speedo, and so forth. Pictures can be wrong but not ID #'s of the truck..
Did you preview that M36 in Lansing? What if this had been the case on that purchase? Most of us...
tmbwolf this is great! We must unite on this front and not be afraid that they will stop the sales of our beloved trucks and equipment. I have received emails to this fear that I should not rock the boat.. Well if the boat is taking me to hell I am going to rock it as hard as I can. So anyone...
I am not taking the route of GL and there costumer service. We know that sucks beyond all comprehension. District leaders along with our State reps are getting a constant flow of emails and phone calls about a corrupt company operating withing there state mis-using state funded man hours and...
