First off, it's not a M37... M37 is a 3/4 ton truck (pickup). You have a jeep (1/4 ton). It does not appear to to be a M38 from the dash and the grill.
That said, I don't know what it is... Perhaps some photos of the tub would help folks (tailgates didn't happen on military jeeps except...
Information and instructions for installing a M151 heater in a M37 can be found at: Heater
I've also got a scanned copy of the Perfection Arctic Heater Kit Installation Manual. This is the gas fired unit that circulated warmed coolant through the engine and battery tray. Its exhaust was...
As mentioned, I have the photos from the 2011 and 2012 events on my Facebook page... About 360 from from this year that Ken took, almost 200 from last year that Mike took...
Since the actual website for the event has limited storage space, the plan is to host the photos on my server...which...
I have to be in Castle Hayne (Wilmington area) tomorrow (Thursday, September 20th).
I have to be in Asheville on Thursday, September 25th.
I'm thinking about running over to Clyde on either Wednesday night (24th) or Thursday afternoon (25th) to visit with Tim at Old Grouch. Perhaps we...
Great news!
Of course, I'll admit that I always have FrankUSMC pick up my stuff from Cherry Point since he is there every day...that means that I get to spend an entire day at his place checking out his stash of stuff when I do go down to get my winnings... :)
Was it the directions to the base...
Is there anyone who can pick up a medium sized battery charger in Land O Lakes, FL 34639-2718 for me?
I'll need it picked up in the next week, and then either boxed and shipped to me in Raleigh, or better yet, relayed up to the GA rally or to Raleigh, NC.
The unit is a Lamarche A40-20-24v...
Thanks, but to be honest, if the original poster can live with it taking me about a month to get it to him, I can get it all the way to Morganton, possibly further west... I have meetings to attend all over the state so it's just a matter of picking it up when I go east for one, then hauling it...
OK, I have to be in Castle Hayne next week (Thursday, September 20) so I can slide over and snag the trailer then. Getting it up to Morganton will take a little longer, but I'll be headed that way in the next month (by mid-October).
Send me a PM so we can exchange contact info and location...
The webpage detailing the seatbelt instalation in my M37 is located at:
M37 Seatbelts
It has information on where I got the seatbelts, how I installed them (location and reinforcement), and photos... :)
Hope it helps,
Good to see that trailer behind your HMMWV... It looks a lot better behind the vehicle it was designed to go behind than the 'burb that hauled it out of Bragg... :)
If you are going back stock, go with Frank's engine (or a takoute one out of my yard...). Or for a diesel go with a Cummins 4BT (I have one in a truck in my yard...), or with a gasser V8 (Bob in Raleigh has a big block in his, I have a manual on the shelf detailing how to put a GM smallblock...
Thanks for the warning.
Some things never change, that stretch has been a speed trap my entire life... Thankfully, I'll be in the XM813 with the XM708 on the towbar with MichiganDon following in his M35 with a M105 on the pintle... We shouldn't be going fast enough to trigger the radar...
A long winded reply, but you asked...
Oh, dumb little things...
The tie down points (very nice, heavy ones) are all in a dual row from front to rear of the bed just inside the wheel wells. I tossed six medical chests in the trailer for the ride home and covered every one. There are no...
We've got plenty of room... :)
Worse case, I'll tell him to park in the 40 acre field next to the 100 acre one that we use...
I suspect that you want me to mow your camping spot as well... ;)
