RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Power Service Additives
I'm with jatonka, Marvel mystery oil is great stuff. I run it in everything i own, mostly as an oil additive. Got that habit from my father who started after an uncle ( aircraft mechanic) absolutely swore the stuff was liquid gold for your engine...
RE: Re: RE: more
All i can say is ebay, Got my aviation intercom for about 50 bucks or so. Already had the headsets to connect to it but you can get a decent set for 75 or so each. Certainly not high end equip but it should do fine, that is whenever i get around to installing it. This...
RE: OK a couple more
yes rollman it is :-) great pics guys, can't wait to see more of em. I have gotta make it next year, and i will even if i have to ride a bike the whole darned way !!!!!!
Excellent news, its scott by the way :-) no rush in getting that to me. I'm working on getting you some pics of that pesky harness for the ether start system as another member has graciously offered to get me some pics as well as the install manual complete with parts breakdown. Hope to have...
RE: Re: RE: I should
well, i will choose to believe that it went to a good new owner rather than melted to make crappy chinese toasters.. IF you find another by chance keep me in mind :-)
wow man, just a few short weeks ago we were talking about you getting your first deuce. Now you have 2 (that i know of) as well as 2 trailers ????? You got the green fever BAD. Better lock up the credit card. Looking good.
RE: Re: RE: I should
If you can still get that thing grab it and send it my way, all joking aside, if its still there i'll take it. Have a friend who will pay for that no questions asked.
Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!! I was kinda going on the "well it is his truck and he can do as he likes" mindset and wasn't gonna give you any crap, but its great to hear it will be kept in a condition suitable for resto one day. [thumbzup] [thumbzup] [thumbzup] [thumbzup]
ummm, did you guys notice the fact that its gonna be hauling grain....Yikes. Too bad that it has to be heavily modded for your use but still its better than the scrapper getting it. Looks cleaner than just about any other example of this model i have seen. Good luck with it.
That engine isn't even close to stripped yet  I still see the air compressor, water pump, and heads. Then again i don't know if its been sitting topless out in the weather like that so the heads and rest might be scrap afterall. Any chance you spotted a dipstick in the pile of parts...
RE: Re: RE: My new M936A2 project
nice score man, i'm sure it will look even nicer once done than that sweet wrecker you had before. BTW, why is it that anytime i see a SS member score a 900 series anything there are no freakin headlights??
+1 armyman, just read through that old post myself, for the first time. It is a rather big downer. RIP ethan, good to see that crane going to a fellow SS member, i know it will have a good home.
WOW, that looks like one heck of a project. Good thing you got this place for moral support :-) Now get to work....i want to see it better than new at aberdeen next spring so i can drool all over it
RE: Re: RE: I should
I would bet its not over 1000 lbs, and if it is not by much. If your looking for cash for other projects you could certainly make your cash back on that purchase, have you seen what one of those sells for???? Can't believe they tossed that in the scrap heap :cookoo:
Yup, no muffler at all. Out of the turbo and up the stack pretty much. The earplugs are a really good move unless you think being deaf would be neat...lol. Although i have yet to actually hear a deuce with one installed, i keep reading about how much quieter the truck is with the NAPA muffler...
