You could tap into the air line for the horn with a T or use the underdash fitting. Put a regulator with a small drier/filter right after that followed by a manifold for the ARB lines.
Great solution Bjorn! I was getting ready to suggest tapping the 1/8" hole, putting in a grease Zerk and using one of those grease injectors you smack with a hammer to force grease in. Your cooking solution should be better though since it will expand the joint and lower the viscosity of the...
I'm thinking the air line would have to go in through a hole in the third member above the oil level. Most off-road shops drill and tap the case of the 14-bolt on the top and run the line down to the locker. The rockwell line could come from the right or left of the pinion support casting...
Oh shoot, you're right, I was looking at the lights underneath, which you said are IR spots. Are those for night driving in pitch dark with goggles on?
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Unimog SEE at GSA
Don't the SEE tractors have a air-shock suspension lock-out for using the bucket and hoe? Guess that would be a little rough for the highway though!
Two M5's? Wow, he must have some serious hauling equipment. That's my biggest obstacle. A 3/4 ton diesel truck won't cut it with this much weight. David told me in Chat that the smallest HST, the M2, is heavier than a M35. I need a 5-ton tractor and trailer first aua
Hope so, we'll see after the benz get some new treads and some other little repairs and an alignment, etc... Hoping to pick up a deuce next month and get it ready for Aberdeen!
True, but the BO light might not last long when off road :D I know Jeep guys that mount rock-spotter lamps under their rigs for night time. They are constantly getting ripped off.
Ah that sucks. They are very cool tractors, especially if you are an Allis Chalmers fan! You guys remember Richard Greene Equipment in PA? His family sold off everything after Richard passed away (very nice guy). He had a M5 on his lot before he died. I wonder what happened to it? I wonder...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Unimog SEE at GSA
So after much to-do, what did the truck go for? Anyone know? They are pretty cool little numbers to look at.
NEIOWA, I have heard similar rumblings about Sam going after some high-speed wheeled or tracked hoe/loaders. Something similar to the JCB...
Picked up a 1983 300SD last week for the Mrs. It's a pretty sharp car that just needs some general PM stuff. It has 226k on the ticker. Hopefully we'll get another 226k out of it at least :D
I know they aren't armored, but I haven't made a tracked vehicle section yet
I have been eye-balling some M5 HST's lately and would like to hear from some owners. Any of y'all got one in the shed?
