Need assistance with M939A2 technical manual search

Welcome to the site. We can help you find what you need. 1. We try to use the word "help" only in thread titles where someone is stranded on the side of the road. I'll edit your title for you in a minute. 2. The "testing forums" section of the site is for trying out issues with the site...

Total Brake Failure on my Air over Hydraulic Tacoma

What is the Tacoma connection? I'm confused. Have you installed a take-out brake system from a Toyota on your deuce? Is your deuce named Tacoma? Are you in Tacoma, Texas?

A couple of M35a2 design and history questions

After searching the web for a solid 20 minutes, this is the best I can do:

    How bad would it be?

Although most of the stuff at Harbor Freight is crap, I have to say, their cheapy HVLP guns are awesome. I've painted all sorts of stuff with them, including a 3-stage pearl (base, clear, pearl) on a friends car who was in an accident and couldn't afford the $1500 the shop wanted to do the...

    GA Meet, Greet, and Eat

Is there room to back a deuce up with a long car trailer and turn around in that lot? To me it looks like if you drive down into the PTLBBQ end head first, you'll basically have to back all the way up to exit the parking lot.

    Questions on Removing Transmission

The blocks are to make it easier to install the pressure plate. When the pressure plate is not bolted on, the fingers are at their maximum height and the pressure plate disc is "closer" to the flywheel relative to the pressure plate mounting flange. When you're tightening the bolts down...

A couple of M35a2 design and history questions

    1. I don't know for sure but I suspect the hard top was part of the original design criteria-I've seen plenty of pictures of very early gassers that have hard tops. I know any truck with an arctic kit has a hardtop and the arctic kit was something they'd already conceived of by the...

Military unit designation code on equipment, how to read

Do generators get registration #s like vehicles? Like "4K5994" or "87K1526"? Because to me, that looks more like a registration # than a unit marking.

    Questions on Removing Transmission

I always pull the jack shaft. You can remove and install with the PTO but it's much more challenging. I've done them with overhead gantry cranes, a lift on the back of a tractor, engine hoist and the correct GI hoist. The biggest benefit to leaving the PTO on is that you can actually get a...

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

I'd love to have it so I can build one for my other truck, HQ41.

    M35A2 questions

Oh, you don't mean the fuel pump in the tank, you mean the injection pump doesn't work. Because it should run without the in tank pump once you get fuel up to the booster pump. So let me get this straight: No winch, no dropside, no expensive new tires, no lockouts, rusty interior, doesn't run...

Lord help me I've become a Goat Herder

Best trailer in the world for a deuce is a deckover equipment trailer. Big enough to put a lot of stuff on it but small enough to comfortably pull.

    NK0242-72's Build Thread (Rmgill's deuce)

As seen at the 2013 Ga. Rally: And as seen, in 2006, at the cookout that became the Ga. Rally: And very few of you know this, but rmgill is actually the one to blame for the Ga. rally. He's the one in 2006 who said "all us army truck guys should have a get together". And 8 years later we...

Finally in the Jeep club :)

1958_M274 recommended Peter DeBella Jeep parts to me and I've spent about $2K with them so far without issues.

Finally in the Jeep club :)

The windshield is definitely canted back a bit. I am willing to bet they removed the thick gasket under the frame and moved the windshield locks on the dash further down in order to pull it back. I would imagine their goal was reduced wind noise and buffering.

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

EG22 is a 24V flasher relay. I do not know if this will work with LEDs-thank you for bringing this up. I will edit the original post and add that disclaimer.

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

Here are the Home Despot part #s so you can grab exactly what you need: And another schematic of the EG22 relay, in case my photoshopped version wasn't clear: The final version can be seen here: And can be seen installed on HQ43. You can see the pattern of the old unit in the paint on...
