Gimpy they have a 3 inch deep by 1" diameter spike as you said on the feet. We are going to drill holes in the concrete to set the spike into that will provide additional rigidity and then also bolt each leg into the base.
M73819 ran signals all day on the lifts. It is good to have a 40 year plus crane operator helping when doing heavy lifts.
Each block is 2 tons.
Once the first wall was up the then the main lift pipe had to be moved to the offside to prepare for the lift to get the leg extensions on and then...
Okay long day today. I had my youngest and m73819 for help thank goodness. Started around 9:00 left around 7:00 pm
Last pickup Friday
Soldier b ran crane for 7 hours today
Blocks had to be dropped on side, chained up and then hoisted. The wrecker backed in place, left , drop and...

Okay more Legos needed, 73m819 is on another Lego run. Ask him about his Lego cranes at the rally. He builds amazing 1:10 scale fully operational Lego cranes from scratch.
Just picked up another load. These are weighing in at 2 tons each so we are limited to 6 at a time.
$25 dollars...
Okay made more headway yesterday. 73m819 made a Lego run yesterday to get some adult Legos.
So with a pile of sand and adult Legos what are we up to?
More details of where the frame is at the moment. There is still the leg extensions and another 8 foot section to install on the frame
Ignorance is displayed by those who chose not to understand history. Only by studying history can we improve on the future. For it is only by experiences can we strive to be better.
Thank you commander Zout for all the history lessons and sharing your experiences!
So I started to build frame assemblies and was trying to figure out how to put the sides together without dragging the frame all over the rocks.
Ultimately had to unhinge one side and lower like the tm said. Then rigged up a harness that was hooked up to wrecker boom from rope but that...
MV good idea but we have another approach for 60 mile an hour winds. Stay tuned!!
The design criteria was not to loose the 15 feet on each side required to properly stake down the tent. We have it down to 2 feet now.
The manual says to build the main section then extend the legs flat. You then take a small army to lift the whole thing up.
I am going to build the frame, lift frame then add covers
Here is assembling the base frame pieces
Sleep is highly over-rated :) Hope I am on double secret top probation!!! Zout released the drone delivery machine this morning and BAM i did get a video DVD signed by the "Warp Commander" himself.
Ah yes Lady Luck!! I have a plan for the canvas, stay tuned. The tm has 12 guys carrying the rolled and assembled pieces and placing on top of the frame that is flattened on the ground. These same 12 then lift the frame to hoist it up, I don't have 12 soldier b so the m62 and m819 are in...
Some of these projects would never happen without the fellowship of our friends on SS. The tent was purchased last summer and brought up to the GA Rally last year by Kenny. (BIG THANKS KENNY). Then our expert Skid Steer operation GIMPY (BIG THANKS GIMPY) helped to the relocation from...
