You can get the bulbs at any parts store. NAPA and PepBoys tend to have 24volt ones in stock, others usually have to order them (in my area, at least). A lot of truck shops have them as well. A listing of bulb part numbers by application is on my website and I have 12 volt versions as well...

RE: diesel engine in m37 A Gama Goat engine is a fine choice for a repower... At least one person on this site has a Detroit 3-53N in his M37 and I know of a couple others who do as well... Wear your hearing protection (not a dig at the Detroit, I do the same with my Cummins...).

You are correct about the MT1 rating being the additional bit to ensure that it is yellow metal safe... GL5/MT1 is good...
