Dry rot is a crap shoot. I have had tires with cracks that I drove on for years , made in the 60’s recapped in the 70’s driven till 2020. Still worked till I put on some “newer” shoes. Have some “army” recaps from the 90’s that looked new but came apart as soon as they hit blacktop.
🤣
I just washed out my 1123 over the weekend. I couldn’t believe how much mud I took out of it. Along with rocks and tons of other stuff I must have pulled out a 5 gallon bucket of mud from the cab. I didn’t know there were drains in the floorboards , after an hour of spraying and using a shop...
Driven a lot with nvg. Not in a “urban” area but there was still a Sharp learning curve.
I thought the idea when driving with “night vision” was to be in a total blackout condition so you can see while driving and not be seen , I E blackout lights etc. but turning on a 12” lcd monitor inside...
Why would you convert to gas ?? I could see going for the duramax conversion but gas ? Is it at least an ls1? . I just couldn’t pull the trigger on an gas motor when diesel with a turbo has way more power

A dead short “would” allow for the breaker to reset for a second before re tripping , the resistance from the length to the short would allow it to reset , the lower voltage takes a second to heat up unlike the house voltage that trips instantly , higher voltage heats wire faster.
I would say theirs a short someplace and the circuit breaker is tripping , comes on for 1 sec and Tripp’s off. You’ll find it when it catches fire. 🤨 or you start looking for a shorted min feed wire
