What did you do to your trailer today.

Great score! That's a handy looking trailer. Will be looking for one of these. Picture is from the Holden Factory.

    New member with MEP-1030

Are the MEP-803As this low of THD?

What did you do to your trailer today.

Finally hooked up the M149A2 and gave it a bath. Sitting under trees made it nasty. Then drove around for an hour to heat up the tires. Tank was empty. CUCV is looking rough. Mechanically it’s fantastic and extremely reliable. Maybe time for a paint job. It’s Desert Storm service is peeking...

    Another, but unique ID request

I'd say that's fair. I would have paid that too Very cool trailer and Very unique.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I'm a little surprised you didn't use AN fittings (Aeroquip) and braided line considering the funds spent on the project already. Looks great regardless! I have that filter setup on several things around the ranch and it works well. Plastic doesn't discolor over time and can tell at a glance if...

TH400 slipping out of third gear

At least you finally did. Thank you. So many times, the original poster never comes back and updates the thread. Good or Bad

If you are willing, can you post the price you paid? Will help someone down the road for a comparison if they ever encounter another example like yours. Thanks

Posting part numbers of the gauge and fitting(s) will help those wanting to do same thing. Thanks

I would buy it just on its uniqueness alone! Never seen one of those before. Talk about handy!

    Another, but unique ID request

Whomever married the box and trailer together did a good job from the topside at least. That definitely looks like CUCV SECM body as mentioned but also looks really top heavy for the trailer Pics of the inside and underside would be great.

    M1102 hand brakes frozen

I didn't want to remove anything (could be another can of worms) so I always have done the heat treatment. Not talking about glowing orange, but enough to make things loosen up a bit. Always worked for me.

    M1102 hand brakes frozen

LOTS of penetrant and LOTS of heat. These are notorious for rusting up in any position. As mentioned, the end cap adjusters will not move under tension. Those also love to seize up. Heat is the way I have unstuck several that were frozen when I picked them up from auction. Take your time and...

    M1008 radiator replacement

Do not waste your money on a 2 row. Even without towing. I would take it to another repair shop and see what they say. If not, be prepared to spend some cash. They still make the copper/brass radiator, but a lot of guys have had luck with other models. Search or Looking back on old threads...

    MEP-803A —— Did I Score? I think so……

Trailer Found A Steel Soldiers member reached out with a trailer offer. Great price! It’s a LTT/TQG 1-1/2 ton (PU-798A) made for the 802A/803A. Aluminum trailer so no rust It’s a bit of a drive to get it but my wife and I are going to make a road trip out of it and enjoy seeing some new...

MEP-803A - New to me, excited to get it going.

Heat. I've seen guys use a torch and burn it out. No idea after that.

    MEP-803A —— Did I Score? I think so……

Appreciate the compliment. I love my MEP-002A. It’s not going anywhere. Only complaint is that it’s really loud. I would love to have a 003A, but now I don’t have a need for one. The 803A prices around here were well above what I wanted to pay, then this one popped up and I was fortunate...
