Installed new 7-1/2 amp circuit breaker in panel
Also Installed NOS air intake hose and 120v outlet cover.
Then I made some stencils.
Yes I know some of these were never ever applied on the genset, but I wanted to see how they look.
If it looks stupid, please say so.
NOS Cylinder temperature...
EPDM rubber are the ones you want.
Local hardware store sells them in multiple lengths and their even made in USA.
They've been holding up to the weather extremely well.
Ok
Went out early this evening and unit started right up.
Did the starter switch while it was running and ……Grind……ugh.
Completed engine Shutdown of shame …….
So tried the cover again and like Guyfang said, I gave it a little more “motivation” and it popped off.
Finally.
I’ll worry about...
Already checked locally.
Way too expensive for what you get.
Will just build an enclosure to park the trailer in.
Price isn’t that much higher and will last for decades.
Excellent info
That makes sense.
I have a 12 watt Solargizer ready to install when this is ready.
A disconnect is a great idea.

Once this unit is reliable, the work begins on cleaning it up a bit.
Battery cables look horrible and need attention, etc. and painting the trailer.
Figuring...
Installed new Gates air hose
Also hooked up battery’s. Was nice not dealing with the slave cable.
Terminal sparked slightly when connecting. Don’t know if that’s normal.
New starter arrived.
It survived the trip and is now in the new MEP spare parts cabinet.
OK
After my last post, I jumped on the tractor and mowed most of the day.
Then had to jump on the garden tractor and mow around the buildings.
It was past time to do it and I had been putting it off.
I will verify that tomorrow.
So worked on this for the last two hours.
Did the 1/4 adjustments as recommended.
Finally…….After 2 full and then 1/4 turn, it finally doesn’t do it.
Have done about 12-15 starts now without issue and unit was nice and hot.
About 83* outside.
It kept getting better as the adjustments were...
Thanks for the pics!
I can really tell now how the heat might affect this switch.
Wouldn’t take much distortion/expansion to cause issue “if” that’s the reason.
Doesn’t look like trying to bend cover would be a very good idea.
Going to work on it today.
I thought about that, but don't know what's under the cover in that area and can't find any pictures that show it.
Hopefully the adjustment works and I will not have to find out.
Will for sure try adjusting it first before replacement.
Don't' want to fight replacing it unless I have to.
I will start with the 1/4" turn at a time.
At least I can reach that.
Clamped down battery’s and installed the connecting cable.
Can’t finish today.
Only had 3 terminals in stock.
More arriving tomorrow.
Hold-downs are a tad too big.
But they’ll work I think.
